I've read all this author's contemporary books and I've loved them all, so I'm always looking forward to a new one from her! Unfortunately, I was on holiday when I received my ARC of this book and didn't realise that I'd received it until after I got home lol! This meant that I did have to rush read it so that it was read and reviewed on time! I loved this book though! It also wasn't overly long, so it only took me a few sittings to read! The plot also developed at the perfect pace and was very interesting! The plot was also different to what I was expecting, but overall I really enjoyed it! I also loved that the plot had plenty of action, suspense, and romance in it! All three aspects added a lot to the development of the plot and kept me wanting to read on and find out what was going to happen next! I also loved that there were some seriously hot scenes too! I wasn't sure if there was going to be, so I'm really happy that there were! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Brina was the main female character, and before the events of this book, Brina had been through a lot and she had lost someone that meant a lot to her! This had changed Brina, but it had made her stronger and a more determined character! Brina was also hiding a secret in this book, and I really wasn't expecting her secret to be what it was lol! It made me loved Brina even more though and it really showed how kick-ass she was! I also connected with Brina all the way through this book and she really impressed me! Wade was the main male character and love interest of Brina! In this book, Wade was a guy that had a dangerous and deadly job that he loved, but he had to hide it to protect his identity! He also had to hide it or else he would have had a serious target on his back! I loved Wade in this book! He was seriously hot and I loved the way he was with Brina! He was very protective of her too, which was completely understandable considering the situation they were in, and it was easy to see how deep his feelings for her were! I also respected Wade a lot in this book because he didn't stop Brina, even after he found out her secret and how dangerous it was! I loved that this book was written from both Brina and Wade's point of views! I wasn't sure if it was going to be because of the way the synopsis is written, but the first book was written from dual point of view, so I was hoping that this book was going to be too! It helped me connect more with both characters and it also allowed for more things to happen in the plot! I also can't wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it's going to be about a secondary character, but this has me even more excited to read it! I can't wait to read the character's story when it releases! The cover for this book suits it perfectly! I love how well it suits the cover for the first book and the model on the front is the perfect Wade! Big thank you to L.P.
