Blog Tour & Giveaway: Surrendering to Us [Surrender Saga 02] by Chelsea M. Cameron!

Publication date: 9th January 2014
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 4.5 stars
Synopsis: They're finally together. But the Universe seems intent on tearing them apart…

Rory Clarke might not be Lucah Blythe's boss anymore, but that doesn't mean they can sneak off to the boardroom for hot sex whenever they want. Keeping their hands off each other in the workplace is harder than they could have imagined, and that's not the only obstacle they have to deal with. Between Lucah's troublesome brother Ryder, and Rory's bff Sloane's inability to understand locked doors, they're drowning in drama.

But it's only about to get a lot worse when a blast from Lucah's past surfaces, and chaos at Clarke Enterprises threatens to take away everything Rory has worked so hard for. Can the couple weather the storm and surrender to each other, or will the challenges of staying together destroy their relationship for good?

I LOVED the first book in this series and if I'm honest, I wasn't really expecting another book to Rory and Lucah's story! I was really excited when I heard the author was giving them another book though! I'll start by saying that this book took me two attempts to read, which is why I took it down half a star! I started reading it, got about 25% through it and then I felt like something was missing, so I stopped reading! I then picked it up about a week later and started reading from where I left off from! I fell in love with it! It was like I was reading the exact same Rory and Lucah from the first book! I did feel like their characters had changed slightly, but obviously they had developed from the first book! The plot of this book was written brilliantly! It was jam packed with showing how far Rory and Lucah's relationship had developed and then there were some things and new characters introduced that sort of tested their relationship and it leaves the reader wondering if their relationship's going to survive! The plot was fun to read and there were plenty of hot scenes! And I mean hot scenes! I actually think there were more hot scenes in this book than the first book lol! The characters were again amazing! Rory was again the main character and this book was again told from her point of view! I didn't really connect with Rory at the beginning of this book, but as it progressed, I started to connect with her more and by the middle, I loved her just as much as I did in the first book! She was quite a witty character and she had a serious devilish side to her as well! I loved when Rory let herself go and didn't put on the business face! She was a much more relaxed character when she let herself go! I loved Rory's relationship development with her boyfriend, Lucah! There were times when I thought their relationship wasn't going to last or something was going to get in the middle of them, so I was happy when I got to the end lol! Lucah was again the love interest of Rory and he was still super hot in this book! He isn't the hottest male character I've read, but he still pretty hot! I loved Lucah in this book because he was always there for Rory and he helped her every step of the way as she was going through some tough things! I loved that Lucah's brother, Ryder was in this book more! He was such a funny character, even though he was a bit of an ass! Ryder added a lot to the plot and was such a great character! The ending of this book was so beautiful, but a tiny bit rushed! I loved the epilogue though! I'm not sure if there's going to be another book or maybe a novella to Rory and Lucah's story, but I do see potential for a book for two other characters who have played quite a big part in this series, Ryder and Sloane! I'm super happy to discover that the author is writing them a book and it's called Dark Surrendering! I cannot wait to read it and see more of Ryder, of course ;) I love the cover for this book! It suits the first book's cover perfectly and I do have to say that it's pretty, damn hot! Big thank you to Chelsea for an ARC of Surrendering to Us and to InkSlinger PR for having me on the Blog Tour!
