Rhett Morgan couldn't have been more wrong for me. The guy drank beer in the shower, for crying out loud. He had no prospects for the future, had slept with half the women in our beach town of Kill Devil Hills, and had no desire to change.
And when Ben Turner, the guy I had loved from afar for the past four years, died, and I couldn't get over his death, I desperately needed a distraction like Rhett. So I used him for a one-night stand. Because, after all, that's the only thing guys like Rhett are good for...right?
I really enjoyed the other books in this series, so I was looking forward to reading this book! It sounded amazing and the cover is really hot, so I signed up for the Blog Tour and started reading my ARC as soon as I got it! I loved this book! It may be my first or second favourite from the series so far! I know there's only three books out right now from the series, but still lol! The plot of this book was also amazing! I knew before I started reading this book that it could be read as a standalone, but it does sort of connect to the plots of the other two books! I would recommend reading the other two books first so that you understand everything! I loved the plot! It developed at the perfect pace and there were some seriously hot scenes too! The plot only took me a few sittings to read too! I just loved everything about it and the romance between the two main characters was very sweet! The characters were also amazing! Sydney was the main female character, and she was someone that had a big crush on a character that later dies! If you've read the other books, then you'll know what really happened lol, but it's also revealed in this book too! Sydney felt lost after the certain character dies, but she then found someone that she thought would take her mind off his death! Let's just say that Sydney got a lot more than she bargained for with the guy she picked! I loved Sydney! She really surprised me in this book with some of the choices she made, which made me respect her! I also connected really well with her! Rhett was the main male character and love interest of Sydney! Rhett was portrayed as the manwhore in this book, which he kinda was lol! I actually loved Rhett though, and he was seriously hot! Yes, he slept around a lot, which he was open about, and he flirted with everyone, but he also noticed the little things and he was very sweet with Sydney! Rhett was also cocky and had a really big ego, but there was were so many good things about him that overshadowed his cockiness and his big ego lol! I just loved him and he's definitely book boyfriend material! I loved that this book was written from both Sydney and Rhett's point of views! It made the plot even better and it helped me connect more with the two main characters too! I also can't wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it's going to be the last book in the series, which makes me really sad, but I'm also not sure whose book it's going to be! I think there's really only one character that still has their story to tell, so I'm hoping it's their book! I'm excited to find out and read it when it releases! The cover for this book is seriously hot! It definitely suits the other covers in the series and it suits the book too! The guy on the front is also seriously hot and the perfect Rhett! Big thank you to Sarah for an ARC of Pulled Under and for having me on the Blog Tour!
