I was dying for this book when it was first announced! I loved the sound of it and the cover is absolutely stunning! I also love this author's other books! When the author announced that this book's release was going to be postponed, I was really sad, but I knew the wait was going to be totally worth it though! The wait was totally worth the extra few months! I started reading my ARC as soon as I received it, and I had such a hard time putting it down until I had finished it! The sexual tension between the two main characters was off the chart and completely leaked off the pages! It had me hooked and desperate to find out what was going to happen next! It also made the plot seriously hot lol! The plot also developed at the perfect pace, and as hot as it was, there was also a lot of loss in it too! I wasn't expecting so much loss and sadness in it, but it mixed with the hot side of the plot very well! I just loved the plot! The characters were also amazing! Aspen was the main female character, and she had been through a lot! I wasn't expecting her backstory to be what it was and for her to had experienced such a loss, so I was really surprised when I read what she had been through! I loved Aspen though, and my heart completely went out to her! There were also times when Aspen was quite shy and reserved, and then there were times when she was more confident and quite the little vixen lol! I loved both sides of Aspen and she grew a lot in this book! Aspen was also very passionate about art and she was amazing at it and it had helped her through a lot! She had come so far with it too! Morgan was the main male character and love interest of Aspen! Morgan was seriously hot and such a sweetheart! Like Aspen, he had also experienced a lot of loss and he had been through a lot! My heart went out to him too! He also had a lot of recent change in his life with learning how to look after an eleven-year-old lol! No, it's probably not what you're thinking lol! I just loved Morgan and he was so passionate about art and about helping Aspen achieve as much as she could with her love of art! Morgan was also protective of Aspen and he was seriously hot with her too! I loved Morgan's domineering side as well! I loved that this book was written from both Aspen and Morgan's point of view! It made the plot even better and it allowed for more to happen in it! It really helped me connect more with both characters too! I can completely understand why this book is a standalone! The plot was wrapped up and there weren't any unanswered questions! The ending was also beautiful and summed up Aspen and Morgan's relationship perfectly! I also can't wait to see what this author is going to release next! I know there's going to be a prequel book to this book, so I can't wait for more information on that! As I said, the cover for this book is absolutely stunning! It totally drew me to it and it's really hot too! I absolutely love it! Big thank you to Brooke for an ARC of Pushing the Limits!
