I'll admit that I wasn't actually 100% sure whether to sign up to review this book or do a promotional post for the Blog Tour! I decided to review it, though, as I've already read one of this author's other books and I quite enjoyed it, so I wanted to read more from her! I'm so happy I said yes to reviewing this book because I loved it! It was different to the contemporary books that I normally read in the sense that it mostly took place in a forest and was all about a journey of self-discovery for both the main characters! I also loved the plot and the whole idea of it! It was refreshing and different and really made me want to accomplish something like what the main female character did! The plot also only took me a few sittings to read, and although there were very little twist and turns in it, which did disappoint me a little, there was a lot of romance and quite a few really hot scenes! I wasn't expecting so many hot scenes lol! Overall, I just loved the plot and it was very uplifting and made me smile a lot! The characters were also amazing and very easy for me to connect with! Brett was the main female character, and Brett was such a genuine and lovely person, but she also held her tongue and acted a certain way because of who her parents were and what they expected from her! I wished that Brett had the strength to say what she wanted and stand up for herself, but I could understand why she felt like she couldn't! Brett found her strength in this book though, and she grew a lot! She felt like she could speak her mind and she found her voice! Drew was the main male character and love interest of Brett! Drew was seriously hot in this book! He was also determined to help Brett be her own person and not act the way her parents wanted her too! Drew was this way because of what he had experienced growing up! He had seen and been through horrible things and this had a big impact on him! What he had been through and seen had made him a very guarded person and he found it hard to forgive! He also came such a long way in this book and it was amazing to see him become more free and learn to forgive! I loved that this book was written from both Brett and Drew's point of views! I wasn't sure if it was going to be after I read the synopsis, but I'm really happy it was! It helped me connect more with both characters and it helped me learn more about them too, as I went inside both of their heads! I can also completely understand why this book is a standalone! I'm really sad that it's a standalone, but the ending was left at the perfect place and summed up the characters story! I'm also definitely going to read this author's books that I haven't read yet and I can't wait to see what she's going to release next! The cover for this book also suits it perfectly! I love how well it suits the book and it represents the book so well! Big thank you to Ashley for an ARC of Without Walls, and to Enticing Journey Book Promotions for having me on the Blog Tour!
