Blog Tour & Giveaway: A Graceful Mess by Nacole Stayton!

Publication date: 25th August 2013
Paperback edition: 251 pages
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
Synopsis: Hiding behind the anguish from my past, my coyness seeps off of me like an aroma. I have felt like a stranger in my own skin, trying to claw my way out for far too long, allowing very few people to see past my façade…until my eyes met with his. I felt a sudden rush of energy all the way to my core. It jolted me in ways I never thought possible.

Never in a million years would I have expected to be in the mess I am today. It all leads back to the night Parker Porter turned my world upside down. The night his hazel eyes undressed me, peeling away the layers of the woman I tried so hard to be. He awoke desires that burned deep within me and changed me in one quick glance, leaving me vulnerable and exposed, picking up the shattered pieces of my carefully constructed life…a life I should not be living…a life I was not born into, but placed into by the state of Maine.

Parker opened a door that I am far from closing until I have answers and am able to face the life I was destined to live. I just have to decide if his love is worth the mess.

“They say be careful of the quiet ones.” –Grace

This book was amazing! I had been wanting to read it since I first saw the cover and it definitely lived up to my expectations! The synopsis doesn't actually tell you a lot of information about the book, so I wasn't really sure what to expect from it too be honest! I can say that what I did get really impressed me! The plot of this book had so many twist and turns in it! I didn't see most of them coming, so I was like on the edge of my seat desperate to find out what was going to happen next! I did find that the first half of this book progressed a little slowly, but as soon as it picked it, it really picked up! The plot was so emotional and it really tugged at my heartstrings! It was written really well and I found myself unable to put it down! I really enjoyed it! The characters were amazing! The main character was Grace and I really enjoyed her as a character! There were several scenes during this book where I did think she overreacted a bit though! All she had to do was listen and she would have discovered the full story, but instead she ran! My heart went out to Grace because was such a broken character, but she gave off the impression that she was fine! Everyone believe her, except from one person who would do anything to see Grace wear a real smile instead of a fake one! Grace had been pushed from pillar to post and it had left her lied to and unable to feel confident! By the end of this book though she was a completely different person! She grew so much throughout this book and she finally realised what it was like to be unconditionally loved! Parker was the love interest of Grace and he was seriously hot! Parker had quite a lot of secrets up his sleeve, but I loved that to start with, he tried to not get too close to Grace, but as soon as he saw her, he completely fell for her! Parker's secrets were huge and they could have shattered any chance of him being with Grace, but I loved that Parker vowed not to let that happen! I loved that this book was written from both Grace and Parker's point of views as it definitely made the book more interesting and also sometimes there were two different plotlines, so dual point of view was essential! I haven't heard any news on if there is going to be a sequel to this book or a novella or a book for other characters in this book, but I don't think there will be! The ending of this book was so perfect and so beautiful that there will definitely not be another book for Grace and Parker, but there is potential for a book for some secondary characters! The cover for this book is stunning! The models on the front suit the characters of Grace and Parker perfectly! Big thank you to Nacole for a copy of A Graceful Mess and to Inkslinger PR for having me on the Blog Tour!
