I thought that I was going to love this book, but I have too be honest and say that I liked it, but I didn't love it as much as I was hoping too! My rating for this book wavered between 4 and 4.5 and I would definitely have given the ending 4.5, but I felt that overall the book deserved 4! I discovered this book on Goodreads one day and I loved the cover, so I checked out the synopsis! I was intrigued, so when I saw Blog Tour sign-ups, I quickly signed up and was really excited when I got on it! As I said, I liked this book, but I did have a few problems with it as well! The plot of this book was written really well, but I felt that it dragged a bit at the beginning and that it took a while for anything to actually happen, like the main characters relationship development! The plot was also pretty anticlimactic! It stayed on the one level and didn't waver or start to get climatic until the last 5%! It was so beautiful though and I did enjoy it! I loved the plot, but I would have loved it even more if a bit more action scenes were added to make it more climatic! There were some seriously hot scenes though that just made this book for me though! They were crazy hot! The characters were amazing! Alexa was the main female character and at the beginning of this book I found it a little hard to connect with her! I mean she had been through a lot and she was trying to come to terms with what she has been through, but as the book progressed I was able to start connecting with her! My heart went out to Alexa, but she was such a strong character! I really liked Alexa, but I loved her when she let herself go and she finally realised what was right in front of her! She was a much more relaxed person when she let herself go as well! Jace was the main male character in this book and he was such a sweetheart! I loved him and plus, he was pretty, damn hot! He was also in a seriously dangerous profession, but he was one Hell of a Soldier! Getting to see his profession thorough his eyes was eye opening! I wasn't expecting to experience this whilst reading this book, so it did surprise me, but it was an eye opening surprise! I loved that this book was written from both Alexa and Jace's point of views as sometimes this book followed their separate stories and it was interesting to see their relationship develop through both of their eyes! The secondary characters in this book were brilliant! They were so funny and they added a lot to the story! I will definitely be reading the next book in this series! I know that it's not going to be about Alexa and Jace, in fact I have no idea who it is going to be about, but I'm still excited to read it! I hope Alexa and Jace make an appearance in it too! The cover for this book is initially what made me want to read it! It is stunning and it definitely suits the book!
