I had been desperate to read this book since the author announced that Lila and Ethan were getting their own book! I remembered the both of them from the first two books in this series which focused on Ella and Micha's relationship! I do have to say that this book started off at 4 stars with me and then as the story progressed and so did Lila and Ethan's relationship that I couldn't resist bumping it up to 5 stars! The plot of this book was so beautiful and uplifting, but really sad at the same time! The plot did start a little slow, but as soon as it started to pick up I couldn't get through it fast enough! It was written amazingly and I loved how it progressed! I didn't want it to end by the time I neared the end of the book! The plot did deal with drug usage, alcohol consumption and a bit of sex, but this book was about so much more than that! It was about realisation and learning that sometimes you have to let go in order to be able to love again! I did find myself sighing and possibly grinning like an idiot during it as the main characters relationship developed! It was unbelievably cute! The characters were amazing, but so broken! Lila and Ethan were both the main characters in this book and the two of them were characters that had been through so much and were trying to make the best of what they had! My heart went out to Lila! She had a façade around her to make her appear more reserved when inside she was a lonely person with a lot on her plate! She used drugs alcohol and meaningless flings to try and numb her pain when all she needed was to really be loved! I felt so sorry for Lila when I found out what she had been through and how people who were supposed to care about her treated her! She was such a sweet person when she was sober and not on drugs that it broke my heart that people were able to make her doubt herself! But there was a bright spot in Lila's life! Ethan! Ethan was one of the most amazing characters I've ever read! He was hurting inside, but he forgot his pain and he focused on helping Lila! I loved how persistent he was with her and that he wouldn't let her go back to the horrible place she was in! It was because of Ethan that Lila was able to start living again! Ethan had also been through a lot and my heart went out to him as well! I loved that by helping Lila, Ethan was actually helping himself as well! The ending of this book has me on my hands and knees for more! I'm not sure if there's going to be another book or a novella or anything like that to Lila and Ethan's story, but I do know that there's going to be a novella to Ella and Micha's story! I'm really excited to read Ella and Micha's novella and I'm positive that Lila and Ethan will make an appearance in it! I love the cover for this book!
