Favourite quote: "Every journey begins with a single step. The only thing you have to fear is fear itself."

I just completely adore this series and every book just seems to get better and better, so to say I was excited to read this book was an understatement! This book really was amazing! I wasn't really sure what to expect from it after I read the synopsis, but what I got blew me away! The plot started straight away and went at a pace to keep me desperate to read on and find out what was going to happen next and how things were going to develop! There were also some twists and turns to keep it interesting and I didn't see them coming! The plot was about two characters, who had both been through a lot, sort of reconnecting and realising their true feelings for each other! It was really beautiful and the main characters relationship did develop a lot further then I had expected! I also have to admit that I shed tears while reading this book, but not because it was sad, but because it was just so beautiful! I can't get over how beautiful it was! The character were amazing! Carina was the main female character and she really surprised me in this book! She was described as an ice queen, but she was anything but! She had actually been through a lot and then she went through a lot in this book too! Carina kept her troubles to herself and tried to tell herself that she was happy when she was living a lie! I just adored Carina because she was in such a predicament until she made a decision that changed everything in her life! Carina was also the older sister of the main character in the first book in this series, Juliet! I can honestly say that I didn't make the connection, so I was pretty surprised lol! It was amazing to have Juliet and Emerson back for some of this book though! Garrett was the main male character and the love interest of Carina! I completely loved Garrett! He was so hot and I loved that he taught Carina that no matter how many mistakes you make, there are always ways to come back from them! Garrett had been through a lot as well, but it takes until quite a long time through this book until what he'd been through starts to unravel, but what a secret he was keeping! I wasn't expecting it! It definitely showed why Garrett acted the way he did though and my heart did go out to him! Garrett was a stong character though and he did prove this! I also loved that this book was written from both Carina and Garrett's point of views! I wasn't really expecting it to be, but then I remembered that all the other books in the series are written from dual point of view, if I remember correctly that is lol! The ending of this book showed how far Carina and Garrett had come as a couple and I may or may not have shed some tears lol! It was really beautiful though and I loved that the two of them got their happy ending! I'm really, really excited to read the next book in this series, Uninhibited! I can't wait to read Dex and Alicia's story and I know it's going to be just as amazing as all the other books in this series! I hope Carina and Garrett make some appearances in it too! The cover for this book is absolutely stunning! The models on the front really suit the characters of Carina and Garrett and I love how well it suits the other covers in the series too! Big thank you to Melody for an ARC of Unconditional and to Inkslinger PR for having me on the Blog Tour!

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Promise Me Forever [Promise Me 1.5] by Sarah Ashley Jones!

Publication date: 17th March 2014
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 4.5 stars
Synopsis: Charlie Jennings and Jhett Hudson knew that a single moment could change everything.

It took them one song to find each other, one question to give them a chance, one kiss to fall in love, and one night to almost lose it all. But they had one thing other couples lack - pure, unconditional love - and that takes more than a moment to walk away from.

Falling in love is only the beginning. Forever is what happens next.

I was really excited to read this novella after I read Promise Me This back in July! Yes, July lol! I have to admit that I was slightly disappointed when the author announced that Promise Me Forever was being turned from a full length book to a novella, but I admire her for making that really tough decision and it definitely paid off either way! This novella summed up the main characters love beautifully! The plot was full of emotion and it was continued on perfectly from where the first book left off from! The plot was also so beautiful! I cried at it and everything! Quite a lot happened in it for it being a novella, but I think this was because it was originally supposed to be a full length book! I loved that quite a lot happened in it because it kept the pace up and I was hooked! I also read this novella in one sitting! I do have to say though that this novella started straight away and I actually had to go back and re-read the last few chapters of Promise Me This to refresh myself of where it left off from because this novella doesn't really remind you of what happened in the first book! The characters were again amazing! Charlie was again the main female character and she went through so many emotions in this novella! After what she went through in the first book and the events that took place before the first book, this novella showed how far Charlie had come as a person! She was a lot more content and this novella was where Charlie came to terms with everything that she had been through! She sort of started to come to terms with it all in the first book with the help of her love interest, Jhett, but this novella was where she really came to terms with it all! I just loved Charlie! I was seriously happy for her for how far she had come and also how far her relationship developed with Jhett too! I grinned like an idiot at it lol! Jhett was again the main male character and he was so freaking adorable in this novella! He was always there for Charlie and I could see just how much he loved her! Jhett also went through a lot of emotions during this novella too, but I admired him for putting Charlie's emotions first! Jhett had also come a long way from the first book, but he was still that hot, tattooed, slightly less cocky guy lol! I just loved him! I loved that this novella was written from both Charlie and Jhett's point of view just like the first book was! It's definitely essential to go inside both of the main characters heads because of how emotional the plot is! I'm really sad to say goodbye to Charlie and Jhett, but there story has been bittersweet and they came such a long way, both as individuals and as a couple! I also can't wait to see what this author has coming next, but I can guarantee that I will definitely be reading it! The cover for this novella is absolutely stunning! I love how perfect it suits the first book's cover as well! It's so freaking beautiful! Big thank you to Sarah for an ARC of Promise Me Forever and to Grapevine Book Tours for having me on the Blog Tour!

Book Blitz & Giveaway: The Right Moves [The Game 03] by Emma Hart!

Her past is wrought with demons.

His past is full of heartbreak.

Yet he’s the one person that can remind her what it means to live.

Abbi Jenkins never thought she would leave the walls of the mental institution that’s housed her for the last year. Now she has, but that doesn’t mean she’s forgotten everything Pearce put her through.

She knows there’s only one way to deal with the depression that claws at her mind each day, and ballet becomes more than a hobby, a dream. Ballet – and Julliard – becomes a reason to live. Something to hold on for.

Blake Smith left London for one reason and one reason only. Running from the heartbreak of his past was never something he wanted to do, but with constant reminders everywhere he turned, it became his only option. When he arrives in New York City, he vows he’ll keep the promise he made to his sister and get into Juilliard.

But he doesn’t expect to be paired with Abbi in class, the girl whose eyes show a world of pain he’s seen before. Pain he knows too well. As each hour they spend together pulls them closer, Blake can’t fight his need to save her from herself.

Lines blur as their pasts are wrenched into the open, and they have to ask themselves whether they’re too broken to ever to be fixed, or if they’re the healing the other needs.

Review: Fractured Innocence [IFICS 02] by Julia Crane!

Publication date: 24th December 2013
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
Synopsis: Kaitlyn and Erik are sent on a mission to track down Vance Dasvoik, a ruthless monster. His latest thrill—abducting and selling young women.

Vance's current victim: Aaliyah, a seventeen-year-old who never imagined walking her brother home from school one evening would change her life forever.

The mission quickly turns personal for Kaitlyn when she finds Aaliyah beaten, her mind and soul fractured from abuse of the worst kind. Kaitlyn knows firsthand what it's like to be haunted by the past and resolves to bring justice to the elusive Dasvoik.

This book was so different to the first book in the series! I wasn't really expecting it to be until I read the synopsis and then I realised just how different it was going to be and how far it had developed since the first book! The plot of this book focused on an issue which occurs, but in my opinion, isn't talked about enough! It focused on human trafficking and I think this was such a brave step from the author! She put something which occurs every day to young woman and men and mixed it with a bit of a paranormal element, but she made sure that the paranormal side of things, didn't overshadow the message she was trying to send! I was really happy that the author decided to add human trafficking to the plot because I don't believe it's spoken about enough and this book does show just how brutal it can be and how much it can affect someone who has been through it! The plot had me flicking through the pages furiously desperate to find out what was going to happen next! I was hooked, but I did have to put the book down a few times to come to terms with what I had just read! Some things that happened to the sort of second female character really were horrible and my heart completely went out to her in the plot! The characters were even more amazing than what they were in Freak of Nature! Kaitlyn in this book was just kick-ass! She was ready to fight and she was ready to take on anyone who stepped in her way on her mission! In this book, Kaitlyn was still trying to adjust to being human and also trying to adapt to her abilities at the same time! She had a few mishaps in this book, but she covered them up and I think she had come so far since the first book! I still loved her as much as I did in the first book as well! Lucas was so cute in this book! I loved how protective he was of Kaitlyn, even though he knew she could take care of herself! I also still liked that he was a bit geeky, but hot at the same time! Aaliyah was also a main character in this book and she was the girl who played a vital part of the plot! My heart went out to Aaliyah because she went through something unimaginable and it affected her so much! Well, it would affect anyone who went through it too be honest! My heart then completely broke for her when I watched her try and recover from what she had been through! She thought she was broken and that nobody would ever want her again, but in reality, she came out even stronger! The secondary characters from the first book were back in this book and they were so amazing! I loved what they all added to the plot! I loved that this book was written from Kaitlyn, Lucas and Aaliyah's point of views, as it gave more depth to the story and it made it so much more interesting! I cannot wait for the next book in this series and to see what the author has planned for it! I will definitely be anticipating its release! The cover for this book suits the first book's cover perfectly! It really suits what happens in the book as well and I love it! Big thank you to Julia for an ARC of Fractured Innocence!

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Flawed Perfection [Beautifully Flawed 01] by Cassandra Giovanni!

blog tour button small

 Excerpt!

I nodded my head and watched as Adam’s hand lingered on the neck of the Ibanez™ before he picked it back up and slipped the strap over his shoulder.
I sat on the edge of the bed as he began to play without an amplifier.
The noise was tinny without the electric part hooked up but that didn’t matter. Adam’s fingers moved effortlessly from fret to fret as he strummed the guitar. His head nodded ever so slightly to the beat and his bare foot tapped the floor as he closed his eyes and a smile formed on his lips.
I stood and placed my hands around his neck, yet he continued to play, nod his head and tap his foot with eyes closed. The only change was on his lips as they crept into the seductive grin.
I leaned into him, letting my hands comb through the hair on the back of his head as my breath washed over his lips.
Still nothing. The guitar continued to hum with his talent.
I let my lips hover over his, then let them wander over the soft skin of his neck and up the stubble of his chin. The beat remained smooth, undisturbed as the strings squealed and he deepened the riff.
I paused as my lips reached his again, lingering at the corner of his mouth where the cold metal of his lip ring teased me just as much as his fingers on the guitar.
I let my mouth run over the metal until it caught in my teeth and I sucked it in.
Finally, his body reacted tensing as he groaned—but his playing didn’t cease, didn’t change. He still resisted, hand strumming a tease over the strings next to the skin of my belly.
His mouth responded to mine as I let the ring and his lip slowly slip away from me. That was it— the guitar spun to his back and he yanked my hips to his own.
“I need you to play me like that guitar,” I gasped as his hand tilted my head and his tongue ran over my trembling neck.
His other hand drifted down my torso.
“Good, because I wasn’t done with my song,” he growled into my ear.

Bobby Beckerson was the American All-Star hockey player--he was the spitting image of perfection to his family. Goofy, sweet and undeniably gorgeous, he had everything but the one girl he wanted: River Ahlers.

River Ahlers is successful in everything but love. She's been in love with Adam Beckerson since they were kids. Worst of all she's stuck right in the middle of the brother's dueling over everything and anything, and she doesn't even know she's the ultimate prize.

Adam Beckerson was a boy with a guitar, a smile that sunk girl's hearts and a stone wall around his own. He was anything but perfect, and no matter how hard he tried he was nothing compared to Bobby. Sweet, damaged, with boyish good-looks, no body thought Adam loved anyone but himself.

Bobby loved River, River loved Adam and Adam only loved himself--or so everyone thought. Then one night everything changes, and as it threatens to destroy everyone involved a tragedy strikes that will break them all...

Author bio:

I used to be just another Fanfiction writer! That was until one person showed real interest in my work. And then another, and then another, until I had this whole group of people reviewing like crazy and wanting original work from me. I’d spent years writing for free online, I didn’t believe I had it in me to publish something!

But I’m glad I did!! I never imagined pushing my work and striving to reach my ultimate. I never imagined I’d be the girl who started The Viper Rooms! But who am I to deny the inspiration when it hits?

I love writing, it’s a lifeline. I love creating a world that others fall into. I love having the control to make a whole new world. It’s like a dependency, an addictive one. It’s one of the things I’m extremely proud of.

As much as I complain, I love the mini dialogues that go on in my head, the plotlines that attack me when I least expect them to. The ones that jump to life at the most inappropriate times and drive me totally crazy!!

For now I split my life between writing, dreaming, working, and volunteering with children.
