Release Blitz, Review & Giveaway: Avalanche [Bearpaw Resort 01] by Cambria Hebert!

Publication date: 26th March 2018
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
Synopsis: Don’t get caught in the surge.

Through a bullet hole in a wall, I watch a man bleed to death.
Those responsible think their crime died with the victim, until I identify them.
What’s a girl to do when she’s being hunted by murderers
witness protection can’t even stop?
Run.
My only refuge is a place I vowed to never go again.
When it’s do or die, an eight-year-old heartache suddenly seems trivial.
Besides, he won’t be there anyway.
But he is.
Turns out my old pain feels brand new the second his eyes meet mine.
I can’t leave. I can’t stay.
This snowy town that’s supposed to be my shelter
suddenly exposes me more than before.
With no one else to lean on, Liam becomes my lifeline.
Now we’re both running for our lives,
trying not to get swept away.

I've read pretty much all this author's books and I love all the books that she's released so far! I was particularly excited when I heard about this book because it sounded amazing and my kind of read! The cover is very cute too! I was stoked when I received an ARC that I started reading it straightaway! After reading this book, I can say that I freaking loved it! It only took me a few sittings to read as well, even though I tried to take my time reading it to make it last longer lol! I loved the whole idea of the plot and that it was a love story, but had elements of danger and suspense in it! The romance allowed for some seriously hot scenes and they were really, really hot! The romance between the main characters was very beautiful too! There was plenty of action and suspense in the plot too and these scenes were very well written and added a lot to the plot! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Bellamy was the main female character, and in this book she was in the wrong place at the wrong time! This put her in serious danger! I felt really sorry for Bellamy because she had to give up a lot to try and stay safe! Bellamy was also very scared and withdrawn in this book, especially at the beginning! This was completely understandable! I still loved Bellamy in this book! She came out of her shell more and she was easy for me to connect with! Liam was the main male character and love interest of Bellamy! I loved Liam a lot in this book! He was seriously hot and the perfect book boyfriend! Liam had also achieved a lot in his life, but he wasn't cocky and an ass because he had! Liam was also easy for me to connect with in this book and he was a sweetheart! Liam was also very protective of Bellamy, which was completely understandable, and it was easy to see how much he loved her, even after eight years apart! I loved that this book was written from both Bellamy and Liam's point of views! I wasn't sure if it was going to be because the synopsis made it sound like it was only going to be written from the female character's point of view! I was really happy that it was written from both characters point of views though because it helped me connect and understand both characters more and it allowed for more things to happen in the plot! I also can't wait to read the next book in this series! I thought that this book was going to be Bellamy and Liam's story and then the next book was going to be another character's story, but the next book is actually going to continue Bellamy and Liam's story! I can't wait to read it! I'm not sure when it's going to release, but I hope that I'm not waiting too long for it! I loved the ending of this book because it wasn't left at a cliff-hanger as well lol! The cover for this book is also absolutely perfect for it! It really suits the feel of the book and I love it a lot! It would definitely make me want to read the story behind it too, even if I didn't know the author's name! Big thank you to Cambria for an ARC of Avalanche and to Enticing Journey Book Promotions for having me on the Release Blitz!

Pre-Order Spotlight & Giveaway: A Fistful of Frost [Madison Fox 03] by Rebecca Chastain!

Madison’s job—and soul—are on thin ice.

Madison Fox is determined to reform Jamie, her half-evil pooka, but the bond linking her to Jamie works both ways. Already, it has manipulated her into bending the rules. If she continues down this path, she could doom her soul. Since her judgment can’t be trusted, a high-ranking inspector now dictates Madison’s every interaction with Jamie, and each directive drives them further apart.

Unfortunately, Madison has bigger issues than the potential degradation of her soul. Winter has struck with a vengeance. Frost moths plague the entire state, reinforcing the artificially frigid temperature. Worse, cold-blooded, soul-stealing enemies are flocking into her region from the north—creatures Madison has little defense against.

With the inspector scrutinizing her every misstep, Madison is in for the battle of her life. If she hopes to survive, she must make an impossible choice: save herself and her region or save Jamie.

An imaginative urban fantasy filled with heart, humor, and plenty of butt-kicking action—A Fistful of Frost is a book you won’t want to miss!

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Offsides Series by Natalie Decker!

Right Text, Wrong Number [Offsides Book 01]

Cheerleader Layla and football player Tyler are complete opposites. She thinks he’s the biggest jerk in school and he thinks she's too high on her horse to even be worth a second glance. When the two of them are near one another, sparks fly in all the wrong directions. They can hardly endure speaking, let alone dating.

But when Layla unknowingly sends Tyler a smack-down text meant for the girl sending naked photos to her then-boyfriend, Adam, Tyler has no idea it’s Layla and decides to play along. After all, Tyler cannot resist messing with the pissed off girl firing off texts about junk pictures, cheating, and girl code.

As the fallout from Adam’s scandalous texts plays out in front of the entire school, Tyler and Layla secretly continue to text each other using fake names. But as days and weeks pass, things take a turn for the serious between them, and suddenly, their texts mean more. Maybe it's time to come clean about who they are and risk taking the relationship from texts to dates, then kissing, and maybe more.

They say there's a thin line between love and hate. Can reality live up to the fantasy, or will Layla and Tyler be forever offsides?

Right Kiss, Wrong Guy [Offsides 02]

You'd think a girl with the most romantic name in the world would have her pick of boyfriends.

But Valentine's Day sucks when you're single. Just ask Juliet Valentine, whose last name happens to also be the name of the most dreaded made-up holiday ever.

A romantic at heart, this year is especially hard on Juliet. Her sister, Layla, is in a new relationship, her mom's match-making business is doing great, and her school's new fundraiser is "Love-Grams."

Juliet's miserable, a little jealous, and lonely.

Quarterback Jared Black is the most popular guy in school. A star athlete, Jared tops the most-eligible bachelor list year after year. But to Juliet Valentine, he's all but invisible. She isn't impressed.

Jared's never had to work hard to get the attention of a girl before. Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and he's determined to ask Juliet out. After all, if Tyler can win over Layla, Jared ought to have a shot with Layla's sister.

Unlike Tyler and Layla, charm, flattery and good looks won't work on Juliet. So with the V-Day dance coming up, Jared uses the school’s Love-Grams to let Juliet know how he feels. Should be simple enough, right?

Wrong. Each attempt ends up either in the trash or thrown in someone's face. Juliet won't play his game.

Now, without a date to the dance Jared realizes it’s going to take a Hail Mary to win the girl of his dreams.

Book Blitz & Giveaway: Dominion [Life After 03] by Julie Hall!

Excerpt!

Naps were amazing. I loved naps. They were so magically awesome I wanted to marry them and have a nice long relationship with them.
My body buzzed with energy even as I snuggled into the soft bedding. Something warm and solid was at my back. Some sort of heated pillow?
   Mmm, I like.
With eyes still closed, I shifted closer to it and nuzzled a second heated pillow beneath my head.
“Finally. She’s alive,” a campy male voice announced.
“Oh, don’t wake her just yet. They look so cute together. I feel like I need to capture this with a camera.”
   Wait. What?
“You know how mad she’s going to be when she wakes up and finds out you’ve all been staring at her sleeping. Especially with her hair all crazy-like.”
That male voice rumbled along my back and shifted my warm pillow. I cracked an eyelid.
   That’s not a pillow; that’s an arm! Which means . . .
I grabbed the top blanket and hauled it over my head. Jerking myself away from Logan’s arm and the side of his body, I armadilloed into a ball beneath the covers.
   “I hate you all.”
“What was that?” Kaitlin asked. “You love us the most and think we are the best? Oh, so sweet! We love you too.” She blew loud kisses at me from the other side of my makeshift blanket shield. She was the worst.
Tremors from Logan’s direction started to shake the bed, reminding me that I was very much still lying next to him . . . in front of our friends.
Letting my legs lead, I slipped out of bed and then army-crawled beneath it. The room was silent for several heartbeats.
“Did I just see my granddaughter slide out of your bed and sneak under it?”

After defeating the red dragon’s legion of bloodthirsty demons, Audrey can finally settle into the afterlife with the knowledge her family is safe. But her quest for a perfect existence shatters the moment Logan is kidnapped in an attempt to bend her to Satan’s will.

Audrey must now travel to the one place no hunter has ever ventured to save the man she loves . . . Hell.

Savage demons, desiccated corpses, life sucking zombie trees, and a land of death and rot await Audrey and her friends as they battle through the fiery realm.

But Logan’s freedom comes with a price . . . the destruction of Audrey’s happily ever after.

As Satan schemes for dominion over all the realms, Audrey learns that some acts may be beyond redemption.

Book Blitz & Giveaway: The Truthseeker [Soulweaver 02] by Heidi Catherine!

Excerpt!

A bony hand grabbed him on the arm and he jumped, tightening his grip on Maari.
‘Do you seek the truth?’ croaked the voice of an old woman.
The room filled with soft light and the Truthseeker began to take shape. She was small, maybe only five feet in height. Her back was crooked and her grey hair was wild. She wore a black cloak that wrapped around her shoulders and fell to the floor.
‘No,’ he said, trying to pull away. He wanted to get as far away from here as possible. But the Truthseeker’s grip was firm.
‘I seek the truth,’ said Maari, fire burning in her eyes.
The Truthseeker let go of Nax’s arm and turned away, sliding herself through the interior door.
‘Are you sure?’ Nax whispered. Maybe the others who’d come before them were right. Sometimes the truth is better left undisturbed. ‘Let’s get out of here.’
Maari looked at him, her eyes filled with tears. She turned and slid through the door behind the Truthseeker.
He went to follow her, but the door was sealed. He pulled at the rubber flaps, but they were sealed tight. He couldn’t get through.
   ‘Maari,’ he cried.
What was going on in there?
The room plunged into darkness and he sank to the floor, shaking with rage, fear and cold.
He hugged his knees to his chest and waited. He wouldn’t leave without her. He’d die here if he had to. Was this why the woman in his dreams had warned him to stay away from her? Had she known Maari would lead him into danger? Still, he didn’t care. He couldn’t leave her. His spirit was bound to hers.
The seconds ticked by as minutes. The minutes passed as hours. He waited. Would he ever see Maari again?
He kept his eyes focused in the direction of the door, waiting for her to emerge. It didn’t matter. His eyes may as well have been closed for all they could see.
A noise startled him and he stood, feeling the seal of the door with his fingertips. The cold rubber became soft skin. It was Maari.
‘Are you okay?’ he said, pulling her into his arms.
She didn’t wrap herself into his embrace as he expected. She felt stiff. Uncomfortable.
‘What happened?’ he asked, wishing for a sliver of light so he could see her face.

Can she learn to forgive before her time runs out again? Or will the truth destroy her?

Maari doesn’t care that Nax is an outcast. She’s drawn to him in a way she can’t explain, determined to teach him to embrace the strange world they live in. But just as his heart opens wide, a force greater than them threatens to tear them apart.

Nax and Maari travel to the depths of the ocean to visit an old woman known as the Truthseeker. She unravels the mystery behind their connection, and warns them to run as far away from each other as they can. But staying away isn’t possible when you’ve found the person who brings your soul to life.

Far away, two sisters are born into extreme poverty, quickly discovering the key to their survival is their strength together. It isn’t until one sister threatens to steal away the love of the other that their bond shatters, and a true struggle for survival begins.

As these two stories merge into one, we learn that when soulmates meet, there’s nothing that can keep them apart. Except love.

The Truthseeker is the stunning continuation of The Soulweaver, winner of Romance Writers of Australia’s Emerald Pro award.

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Paper Lipstick by Kelsey Elise Sparrow!

Excerpt!

   “You play video games?”
I don’t know why it shocks the shit out of people that I spend time in front of the damn Xbox. I enjoy taking out some of my aggression on some of those lifelike characters just as much as the next person. For the most part, it’s just a damn good way to kill time. Assholes in the crew talked so much shit about me not knowing what the fuck they were talking about last year that I promptly went out and purchased a system. I figured out what games they were playing and started practicing.
It took me too fucking long but I got good at them. The next time I was challenged in a wrestling game, football, some Star Wars, or Destiny challenge, I wiped the fucking floor with my opponent.
Some of the guys in the crew have this tournament going with a game called Tekken. It’s an advanced form of Street Fighter. There’s one name at the top all of us want decimated because he talks major shit. Jared is one of the few people whose big mouth I can actually tolerate. Not that he speaks often. When he does there’s no stopping him. It may go on for a good five minutes. Some meaningful shit comes out of his mouth, but it’s a rarity. His shit talking is worse because of the damn smirk. The smirk that says you know he’s better than you. I want to wipe that fucker off his face but I’m not good enough yet. I believe I may not have to be after spending my time with a certain gorgeous blonde.

Lipstick kisses and caviar dreams don’t have a place in my life or his.
~ Max (Rebecca Robbins)

I'm a bad ass bitch. It's a truth of mine. I live it and breathe that shit. No, I'm not conceited or full of myself. It's just something I've discovered over the years.
I'm damn good by myself, always have been, always will. What I didn't know is I can be improved upon.
Enter the equally bad ass and hella charismatic Deckard Camden. Who, the hell, told him to be this jaw-droppingly gorgeous, mountain of a man, in comparison to my little self, projecting a wall of defense that rivals my own?
Nobody prepared me for the sensual words that would fall from his lips or the massive ... peace he would bring to my life.
Damn sure didn't get me ready to be Deckard Camden's wife … wait what?
