I read an excerpt from this book at the back of this author's other book, Pieces of My Heart, and it left me desperate to read the full story! It left me completely hooked! I was then offered an ARC of this book from the author, and I instantly said yes! Once I received the book, I said that I was only going to read the first chapter, as I was reading another book at the time, but I ended up reading the first eleven chapters lol! I then managed to put it down and finish the book I was currently reading lol! I loved this book though! It was dark and gritty and progressed a lot further than I was expecting it too! It also dealt with difficult issues and addictions! The plot was written brilliantly! It progressed at the perfect pace and actually went in a different direction to what I was expecting it too! I wasn't expecting it to go as deep as it did, but it showed the brutality and realness of what some girls do go through, and it was actually hard to read at times! I loved where it progressed to though, and it came a long way and so did the characters! I just absolutely loved it! The characters were amazing! Rylie was the main character, and she went from a preppy, normal high school student to someone who became obsessed with drugs and would do anything to get more of them! My heart completely went out to her! I was hoping that her drug addiction wouldn't reach the stage it did, but it progressed a lot further than I was expecting! I could understand why Rylie's drug addiction started though! She had a lot of pressure put on her from everyone to excel and be the best she could be, and the pressure got to her and she wanted a release! I wish she had picked a different release, but it showed how easy it was for someone like Rylie to get into the kind of scene she did! She came a long way in this book though, and I loved the person she turned into at the end! Elijah was the love interest of Rylie, and although he was the one who introduced Rylie to drugs, he was the one who was always there for her and tried his best to get her to stop the drugs and beat the habit! I did have some resentment towards Elijah for starting Rylie's habit, but then there was something about him that I loved and I could see that he only wanted the best for Rylie! I could see that he really loved her and would do anything for her too! Elijah was also seriously hot, and was the first person to show Rylie that she could do what she wanted in life and that she should do what she wanted and not what others wanted her to do, which made me respect him more! I did love Elijah and he also came a long way in this book! I can completely understand why this book is a standalone! Everything in the plot was resolved and everything was answered! The ending was also very beautiful and completely summed the book up for me! I'm sad that this book is a standalone though! I can't wait to see what this author is going to release next as well! I've loved all her books so far, so I'm excited for her next release! The cover for this book is stunning! It really suits the book and you can see how well it suits the book after you read it! It also suits the feel for the book too! Big thank you to Jamie for a copy of Rock Bottom!

Yesterday, I got the opportunity to attend one of the stops on the UK Book Signing Tour organised by Red Coat PR! I was really excited, but really sad to read this book! Excited because it's another book by L.P. Dover and I absolutely love this series, and then sad because I knew that this book was the last book in the series! I also tried to take my time reading it, but I failed and read it in a few days lol! I loved this book! It was amazing and so hot! The plot was also amazing! There wasn't as much action and suspense in the plot as what there had been in some of the other books in the series, but there was enough to keep me interested and wanting to find out what was going to happen next! I also read the plot in a few sittings and was always reading a few chapters every chance I got! There were also quite a few hot scenes in the plot too, and they were seriously hot! The suspense in the plot was also very well done! It developed at the start and then developed slowly as the plot progressed and then it climaxed at the end! I really enjoyed it! The characters were also amazing! Megan was the main female character, and she really impressed me in this book! She had been through a really, really tough time and some horrible experiences! What she had been through had made her toughen up and become a stronger person! I felt really sorry for Megan for what she had been through! I loved her in this book as well though! She was such a genuine and nice person that she was really easy for me to connect with! She was also the first person to give her love interest a chance, which told me a lot about the kind of person she was! She taught her love interest a lot as well! Kyle was the main male character, and he was seriously hot, of course lol! When Kyle had made appearances in the other books in this series, I didn't like him, which is understandable, so he had a lot to prove in this book! Kyle definitely proved a lot in this book though! He was a totally different person and was really protective of Megan and he had come a long way! I was really impressed and happy for him! I just loved Kyle as well! I loved how he was fierce, but gentle at the same time and that he regretted what he did! I could also see that he would do anything to make sure that Megan was safe and out of danger! It was easy to see that he really loved her as well! I loved that this book was written from both Megan and Kyle's point of views! It made the book even better, and it made the plot better too, as you could follow two different storylines from the two characters! Getting to see Megan and Kyle's feelings for each other grow through both of their eyes was really beautiful too! I'm really sad that this book is the last book in this series! I've absolutely loved this series and I'm really sad to say to say goodbye to it! I can't wait to see what this author is going to release next though! The cover for this book is seriously hot! I knew it was going to be though because the other covers are hot lol! Big thank you to L.P. Dover for an ARC of Kyle's Return and to Enticing Journey Book Promotions for having me on the Blog Tour!

I'd never read a Nora Roberts book before I read this one, but I'd heard a lot about her books and she's a huge author, so I knew her name when I read it! The UK publisher of this book emailed me and asked me if I would like an ARC of this book, and after checking out the synopsis, I knew I really wanted to read it! The synopsis and cover really intrigued me and I wanted to find out more! I also may or may not have squealed because I was offered an ARC of a Nora Roberts book lol! I loved this book! I didn't think I was going to love it anywhere near as much as I did, but I was immersed in the story from a few chapters in and had a hard time putting it down, even though it was a pretty long book! It was just brilliant and I can't believe that I hadn't read a book from this author before! The plot was also amazing! There was a lot in it and there was mystery and romance and then it started getting quite suspenseful! I did find that it dragged a little bit in some places, but I could understand this as the main character tried to figure things out at these stages! Overall, I really enjoyed it! The characters were amazing! Shelby was the main character and she went through so much in this book! My heart completely went out to her! She had so much faith in her husband and she supported him so much too, so for her to find out a ton of secrets about him after his death, it had a huge impact on her! I think she handled it all brilliantly though! I probably wouldn't have been so understanding and as calm lol! I also loved the amount of love Shelby had for her daughter and her family! I could see that she would do anything for them! I connected really well with Shelby too! Griff was the love interest of Shelby and he was seriously hot! I also had so much respect for him! He knew where to draw the line with Shelby when he first met her and he knew not to rush into anything with her! He knew what he wanted from her as well though, and he was clear on what he wanted from her! Griff was always there for Shelby as well, and he tried to help her out as much as he could! I just loved him and I also loved getting the chance to go inside his head and see how he felt about Shelby and that he had deep, genuine feelings for her! This book was written from a few different point of views, but it was mainly written from Shelby's! I loved Shelby's point of view, but I also loved the extra point of views too, especially Griff's! They all added a lot to the plot and to the development of the plot! I know that this book is a standalone, which I can completely understand as the ending was resolved and everything was answered, but I'm definitely going to be checking out this author's other books! I know she has a ton out, so I'm definitely going to be spoiled for choice lol! The UK cover for this book is stunning! It definitely suits the book! It's very bright compared to the US cover too, which I love! I definitely prefer the UK cover to the US one! Big thank you to Piatkus for an ARC of The Liar and for having me on the UK Blog Tour!
