Sales Blitz: Take This Regret [Take This Regret 01] by A.L. Jackson!

Take This Regret [Take This Regret 01]!

There are some mistakes we make that we will regret for the rest of our lives. For Christian, it was the day he betrayed Elizabeth.

Christian Davison has a plan for his life. He is determined to become an attorney and to one day take his place as partner in his father’s law firm. Nothing will stand in his way, not even Elizabeth Ayers and their unborn child.

After Christian cuts her from his life, Elizabeth spends the next five years struggling to provide for her daughter and willing to sacrifice anything to give her child a safe, comfortable life.

For five years, Christian has regretted the day he walked away from his family and will do anything to win them back just as Elizabeth will do anything to protect her daughter from the certain heartache she believes Christian will bring upon them.

When Christian wrestles his way into their lives, Elizabeth is faced with asking herself if it is possible to forgive someone when they’ve committed the unforgiveable and if it is possible to find a love after it has been buried in years of hate. Or are there some wounds that go so deep they can never heal?

They say everyone deserves a second chance.

Lost to You [Take This Regret 0.5]!

People come into our lives. Some stay, and many go. Some build us up, while most tear us down. They become our friends, our enemies, our lovers, our tormentors.

Christian Davison came into mine, and I knew I’d never be the same.

To Elizabeth Ayers, New York City had always been a dream. She’s worked her entire young life to make it here.

Groomed to one day take over his father’s law firm, attending Columbia University was Christian Davison’s only option.

Neither wanted anything more until they sat across from each other at a café table after being paired as study partners.

Christian wants her, but Elizabeth knows better than to give into their intense attraction. Yet there is little she can do to stay away.

Review: What's Left of Us [What's Left of Me 02] by Amanda Maxlyn!

Publication date: 14th November 2014
Paperback edition: 228 pages
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
Synopsis: Love found me three years ago.

I’m cancer free, happily married to the love of my life, and working toward my dream career.

Our life is complete. Perfect, really.

Or is it?

I’ve always wanted a family of my own, but never dreamed I could have one. Now Parker’s ready to make my dream our reality.

But sometimes our dreams are haunted by our deepest fears. Fears of failure, having a child, and in our case … death. How do I help the person I love get over his fear when I’m still trying to overcome that same fear myself?

Together we must learn What’s Left of Us.

It doesn't feel like I've been waiting just under a year for this book lol! To be honest though, I would have waited forever for this book! I fell completely in love with the first book in this series, and I wasn't expecting there to be a second book because of where the first book ended! When I found out that there was going to be a second book though, I wanted to shout from the rooftops because I was so excited! I completely adored this book! It was so beautiful and continued on perfectly from the first book! The plot was amazing! It was written brilliantly and I loved that it showed the main characters a few years after the events of the first book! I read this book in a few sittings too because I just couldn't put it down until I had finished it! The plot was just so beautiful and I loved getting to see how far the characters had come! There were also some seriously steamy scenes in this book, and they were so hot! I loved them! The characters were again amazing! Aundrea was the main female character, and I just loved her in this book! She had been through so much, but she still soldiered on and wanted to get the best from life! I did feel for Aundrea in this book though, because her husband, Parker, wanted he and Aundrea to move onto the next step of their relationship, which left Aundrea scared! I could completely understand why Aundrea was scared, but she was taught by a really good friend to let fear go and live life to the fullest, which opened Aundrea's eyes to the possibility of what Parker wanted! She did come a long way in this book with everything, and I absolutely loved her! Parker was again the main male character, and he was again just the sweetest guy ever in this book! There just aren't enough words to describe how much I adored Parker! I just freaking loved him! I loved the way he was with Aundrea too, and I could see that he would do anything in the world to keep her smiling! He had some serious love for that girl! Parker also wanted his life with Aundrea to move to the next step, but that came with complications and a lot of realisation for both Parker and Aundrea! They managed to work together as a couple to show each other that together, they could face anything! I loved that this book was written from both Aundrea and Parker's point of views! I think only a few chapters were written from Parker's point of view in the first book, but this book was kind of split between Aundrea and Parker's point of views, which I loved! Seeing the amount of love they have for each other through both of their eyes was so beautiful, and they'll always be one of my favourite couples! I know that there's not going to be another book in this series, but I can't wait to read more from this author! I think I'll be on pins and needles every time she releases a book lol! The cover for this book is absolutely stunning! I love how well it suits the cover for the first book, and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! It also represents a scene in the book perfectly!

Excerpt!

I was about ready to yank my arm away from his grasp when I heard Carson’s voice.
“There you are. I was starting to wonder if you fell in.”
I chuckled quietly as Viktor let go of my arm. Carson deserved a huge kiss.
“Shouldn’t you be worrying about your own date?”
   Viktor snarled.
“I couldn’t find her. I’ve been waiting for Amber to get back from the bathroom so I could see Wind kick her butt in the race for the can.”
I took a step toward him. “I think you might be in for the shock of your life.” I took advantage of being free of Viktor’s hold and walked quickly toward Carson.

Book Blitz: Misjudged Series by Sarah Elizabeth!

Misjudged [Misjudged 01]

It was one night.

One night of pure intimacy with a guy she knew nothing about, that couldn’t have prepared her for the next chapter in her life.

But will it be for the better, or for the worse?

Eighteen year old, Alexis Harper, is a smart, attractive, and ambitious young woman with great friends, a doting father, and a scholarship at one of Washington State’s most prestigious Performing Arts Colleges.

Meet Brandon Taylor.

A damaged and confused twenty year old who is grieving for the life he once had.

He didn’t think for one moment that he could ever find happiness, and he didn’t want to. He was happy living within the high walls he’d barricaded around himself.
It felt safe.

Misplaced Trust [Misjudged 02]!

Forever.

That one word was supposed to mean their love would never end, yet only twenty-four hours after he promised her forever, Brandon tore it away in a single heartbeat, leaving Alexis brokenhearted and unable to answer the simple question as to why he left.

As Alexis tries to understand his reasons for leaving, while wondering and hoping he will one day return, her life faces yet another downward spiral. She finally learns the truth about both her own and Brandon’s pasts, which in turn leaves her feeling their relationship wasn’t what she thought it had been at all.

Trust.

You’re supposed to be able to trust those closest to you, but what happens when the most important people in your life turn out to be those you shouldn’t have trusted or had any faith in at all?

Love, lies, deceit, and betrayal make for another unsteady ride in the Misjudged series, with only two options left open for Alexis and Brandon.

A happily ever after, or a journey in which ends in one of the most tragic of circumstances?

Blog Tour & Giveaway: The Future Without Hope [The World Without End 03] by Nazarea Andrews!

Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
Synopsis: Separated from Finn, captive of the Order, Nurrin has no hope left. But she has survived twenty years of zombies--and she has the unshakable faith that Finn will find her.

But Finn is a long way away. The Order's influence runs deeper than was ever suspected, and politics are shifting--and zombies may not be the most dangerous thing she's facing.

Finn always thought the war stripped him of all he had to lose. But with Nurrin missing and doors closing in his face, he realizes there is always more for the world to take--and he will drag the remains of civilization down with him before he gives up on the only promise that matters.

I was seriously excited to read this book after the last book's ending! It was quite the cliff-hanger and I couldn't wait to see how everything was going to play out! I signed up for the Blog Tour when I got an email about it, and was super lucky to get on it! I squealed when I got my ARC too lol! I freaking loved this book! It was definitely worth the wait and I couldn't put it down once I started it! I was also drawn right back into the characters world! The plot was again full of action, suspense, and a whole load of romance! It was continued on brilliantly from the last book and it held me attention all the way though! It was just brilliant! The only thing I will say about the plot is that there was a particular scene where the main male character sort of rescues the main female character, and because this book was written from dual point of view, it would have been interesting to have taken more of the main male character's journey to get to the female character! I felt it was a bit rushed! The plot was amazing though, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I loved the twist and turns too! They added a lot to the plot! The characters were again amazing! Nurrin was again the main female character and she was in such a dangerous situation in this book! I mean, the world she lives in is a dangerous situation all on its own, but she was in a even more dangerous situation! Nurrin handed it all the best she could and she was always trying to protect the people she loved! Nurrin has also changed quite a lot since the first book, but she's become a stronger person, which is what she has had to become because of the world she lives in! She's become more kick-ass too! I still loved her in this book, and there were some twists that made my heart go out to her too! I wasn't expecting her to have went through something so horrible! Finn was again the main male character and he was even hotter in this book! I didn't think it was possible for him to get any hotter lol! He was also seriously protective of Nurrin in this book, and he showed how far he would go to protect her and keep her safe! I wasn't expecting him to go as far as he did, but I could understand why he did as his feelings for Nurrin outweighed everything! Finn was again such a straight talker and I liked that we got to learn a little bit more about his background! I loved that this book was written from both Nurrin and Finn's point of views! It kinda had to be, and I really enjoyed that it was! I actually thought that this book was going to be the last book in this series for some reason, so I was when I got to the end of the book and it was left on another cliff-hanger, I got really excited because that means there's probably going to be another book lol! I can't wait to read it and see where the story's going to go, especially after that ending! The cover for this book is just perfect for it! It suits the other covers in the series perfectly and suits the book too! Big thank you to Nazarea for an ARC of The Future Without Hope and to Inkslinger PR for having me on the Blog Tour!

Promo Event & Giveaway: Retrace by Sigal Ehrlich!

Excerpt!

“So, for the sake of proper conduct, Miss Mitchell,” I send out my hand for a shake, “you know my name…”
She observes my offered palm for a short moment, and fills it with her soft one. Bare, groomed fingernails, just the way I like. In unison our stares drop to where our palms link. Something’s happening there, something that produces energy with unworldly speed.
“Miss Mitchell,” she says, prompting our stares to re-meet. Her expression a transparent tease. I nod, amusement playing on my face.
“Well, we’ve crossed nudity off the list, so I guess it’s safe to say we should be okay on a first name basis…”
She mirrors my glee. “It’s Nia.”
Nia. I repeat her name in my head. Everything about her is just what I like, neat and natural, and absolutely gorgeous. All the good reasons for me to get the hell out of here.
“It was a pleasure,” I say and send her a wicked grin.
She sighs with a smile, in a “what’s done is done, I can’t take it back,” kind of shy way.”

Nia Martins believes a fresh start will help her leave her traumatic past behind. Moving to a different country, she seeks to shake off her demons by doing the one thing that sets her free from her destructive thoughts – teaching dance. But change doesn't come easy, and all Nia really wants is to take the next breath without the perpetual suffocation that follows.

Reeves Mitchell has looked death in the eyes so many times it’s become habitual. That is, until his best friend's life was on the line. When the one thing he feared the most turns into reality, all he can do is pick up the pieces of his loss. As Reeves tries to live with the constant thought of “what if” gnawing at the back of his mind, he persistently and steadily builds a thick wall around himself.

Their solitary lives are all they have—until fate brings them together. Nia and Reeves’ new friendship helps make life, shadowed by the ghosts of their past, more bearable. But as their relationship deepens and new, suppressed feelings emerge between them, are they willing to retrace their steps back to where wounded hearts can be broken once more?

Review: What's Left of Me [What's Left of Me 01] by Amanda Maxlyn!

Publication date: 13th December 2013
Paperback edition: 329 pages
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
Synopsis: Life works in mysterious ways.

Four years ago I became known as the girl with cancer.

I refuse to cry.

And I refuse to give in.

A relationship with a man is the last thing I’m looking for right now, but one night with Parker changes everything. He is persistent, and he knows what he wants. Me.

He doesn’t treat me like I’m fragile.

But he doesn’t know, and I’m not ready to tell him.

What if it changes everything?

Tragedy found me when I was seventeen.

Love found me when I was twenty-one.

My name is Aundrea McCall, and this is my journey.

This book was absolutely amazing! I had been wanting to read it for a while, but for some reason, I just kept putting it off! The topic of this book involved one word nobody ever wants to hear, and it's such a hard thing to read about because you immediately feel empathy for the character and you form an even stronger bond with them! The synopsis tells you what this topic is, and the book tells you the story of a girl determined to not let her illness define her! The plot of this book was heart-breaking, but so beautiful! It had a blossoming relationship in it, but then there was the big elephant in the room that the main character didn't want to tell her love interest about! I just loved the plot! It really showed what someone with cancer goes through and how if affects them emotionally, as well as physically! The plot was also very emotional and I cried my eyes out at a lot of scenes! Some scenes were hard to read, but it's because of how honest they were and that's one thing I really admired about this book! There were some hot scenes in the plot too, which I loved! I mean, they were seriously hot! Overall, I loved the plot and I loved how it developed and the pace it developed at! The characters were amazing! Aundrea was the main character and she was such a strong character! In fact, she's probably one of the strongest characters I've ever read about! I loved Aundra's strength and her determination! She was so determined to never be defined by her illness and to only be seen as Aundrea, and not the girl with cancer! I admired Aundrea so much as well! She tried to get on with her life and she hardly ever complained about her illness! I could see how deep her illness affected her as well! I just wanted to wrap her in a massive hug and not let go of her! Parker was the love interest of Aundrea, and he was so cocky, but such a sweetheart! I loved how natural he was with Aundrea, and although it took him a while in this book to find out about her cancer, he refused to let her face it alone and he was there for her through the rest of her journey! I just adored Parker! He always looked at Aundrea like she was the only person in the room and he treated her like she was everything to him! I'm pretty sure she was lol! I just loved Parker! I mean, he was everything I love in a guy and he'll make a lot of readers hearts swoon, that's for sure lol! I cried so hard at the end of this book! It was so emotional! The entire book was emotional, but the ending really packed a punch! I won't tell you whether my tears were happy or sad tears though ;) I thought that this book was a standalone when I first read it, but I got seriously excited when I heard that the author is bringing out another book! I can't wait to read it! This book could totally have been a standalone though! The cover for this book is absolutely stunning! I didn't actually see the words in the background until I enlarged the cover, but every single word describes Aundrea's emotions in this book perfectly! I freaking love it!

UK Blog Tour: Breaking Love [Full Hearts 02] by MJ Summers!

Publication date: 28th October 2014 (Ebook)
Paperback edition: 384 pages
Source: Kindle
Rating: 4.5 stars
Synopsis: Luc Chevalier is a satisfied man - or so he thinks. His businesses are thriving, he has all the excitement, money and beautiful women any man could want. He dines at the best restaurants and stays at the most luxurious hotels. So why does he suddenly find himself so restless?

Megan Sullivan is a single mom with a rather ordinary life. She is comfortable with things just the way they are. She has a six-year-old son, Elliott, a cosy house in Colorado, and a photography business to put food on the table. Megan is on her own and she intends to keep it that way.

But when Megan is convinced by her best friend to take a trip to Paris, she's thrust into the arms of Luc Chevalier, the sexiest man to ever set foot on the Eiffel Tower. They agree to one night together and no more. In those few short hours he manages to draw out the passionate woman that Megan has carefully hidden way for years. Once she has a taste of what she's been missing, she finds it almost impossible to go back to her life as it was.

I was really excited to read this book! I read the first book in the series last month after the UK publisher emailed me and asked me to be on the UK Blog Tour for this book! I knew that this book could be read as a standalone, but I always like to try and read a standalone series in order! After reading this book, I have to say that I preferred it just a little bit more to the first book! I think that I just preferred the plot of this book! I also loved that the setting was in Paris, France for some of it, and then a few places in America for some of it! I've only been to one place in America, and I've never been to France, so I found it all really interesting! The plot was amazing! It developed at a really good pace to hold my attention, and I read it in about three sittings! There was a lot in it, and I loved the way the main characters relationship developed! I loved that there were some hot scenes too! They were seriously hot! There was also a lot in the plot and I really enjoyed it! The characters were brilliant! Megan was the main female character, and she told herself that she didn't need a man in her life to make her happy, especially because of why things ended with her ex-husband! I think that Megan secretly wanted a man in her life though, and then along came her love interest to prove this! Megan was also a bit of a vixen too when she was with her love interest, Luc! I wasn't expecting this side of her, but I loved it! I also loved that Megan spoke her mind, was honest, and I could see that she really loved her son and that she would do anything for him! Overall, I loved Megan, and I thought that she was a brilliant character! Luc was the main male character, and he was seriously hot! Luc was introduced briefly in the first book in this series, and I was looking forward to reading his story and getting to go inside his head! I loved Luc in this book! He was a bit cocky, but was soon brought down to size by Megan lol! Luc was so supportive of Megan, and I could see that he had strong feelings for her! He was also a very charming, smart guy, so I could see why he attracted a lot of female attention lol! He was also hot, and was perfect with Megan! The two really complimented each other! This book was written from a few different point of views, but it was mainly written from Megan and Luc's! I really enjoyed that it was, and it kinda had to be written from both Megan and Luc's because the two characters lived in different continents lol! I know that there's going to be a third book in this series, and I can't wait to read it because it's going to be about a secondary character that I loved in this book! I'm also not sure if Megan and Luc will appear in it, but I hope they do! I'll definitely be reading it when it releases! The UK cover for this book suits the first book's cover perfectly! I love it, but I do have to say that I'm a big fan of the US covers for this series too! I love how different both sets of covers are though! Big thank you to Piatkus for sending me paperbacks of both Break In Two and Breaking Love, and for having me on the UK Blog Tour!

Double Cover Re-Reveal: Infinity [Valkyries: Soaring Raven 01] & Infinity Unleashed [Valkyries: Soaring Raven 02] by Sedona Venez!

Infinity [Valkyries: Soaring Raven 01]

The first moment I saw Boulder… his helmet-covered head snapped in my direction and stared.

My eyes greedily took in the hardness of his thighs encased in dark jeans, his kickass motorcycle boots, and leather jacket. I licked my bottom lip, stifling the crazy urge to leap out of the car and climb him like a tree while burying my nose into the crook of his neck like a possessed woman.

I needed to see his face, and as if answering my request, he pulled off his helmet impatiently, and literally, something clicked in my head as his warm apple-green eyes locked onto me and he muttered, “All mine.”

Well, that’s what I imagined he was saying as his lips moved silently. He could have been whispering, “Stalker girl,” but hey, I was willing to stalk him into submission.

Infinity Unleashed [Valkyries: Soaring Raven 02]

A new adult story of Betrayal. Sex. Addiction. Love. And Power…

Mason’s diabolical plan had actually worked.

In a matter of minutes he had kidnapped me, stripping me of everything…money, family, and freedom. It was humbling, depressing, and damn infuriating but I refuse to go down without a fight. I refuse to be defeated.

Boulder will find me. I didn’t know how, but I felt it deep in my soul.

Boulder…the one man that made my body quake with just one look. It was madness. There was so much I didn’t know about him. For that matter, there was so much that he didn’t know about me…like the evil darkness lurking inside me, waiting to be unleashed.

Could he accept me without judging?

That’s where most men failed. Accepting the real me. But after years of hardening my heart, and sealing it behind a steel cage, I was ready to give myself to him freely. Knowing, that he planned to take everything I offered with both hands, until all I thought of…and wanted…was him…

Blog Tour & Giveaway: A Place Beyond [The Danaan Trilogy 03] by Laura Howard!

Publication date: 27th October 2014
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 4/4.5 stars
Synopsis: The time has come. Allison's quest to save her mother from Aoife's wicked enchantment will test everything she believes in. Who is trustworthy in the land of the Fair Folk, the Tuatha de Danaan? It's up to Allison, along with her ragtag host of allies, to unravel the truth.

Journey along and discover the power of love and duty as Allison faces the most difficult trial of her life.

Although I didn't like where the last book in this trilogy ended, I was really excited to read this book and find out how everything was going to end! I didn't like the ending of the last book because it basically ended half-way through a conversation, which was a bit weird lol! This book picks right up from where the last book left off from though, and it was a short, enjoyable read! I actually read in it in one sitting it was that short lol! The plot was awesome and continued on brilliantly from the last book! The plot also came to a close and you could see all the bits and pieces be tied up to answer all the questions raised in the previous books! I really enjoyed the plot and a few things happened in it that I wasn't expecting! I do think that some scenes and the overall plot could have been expanded though! It was a bit rushed and some scenes were pretty short! The big finale scene that I had been waiting ages for also went in a completely different direction to what I was expecting lol! It didn't have as big an impact on me as I was hoping it was going too! Overall though, I really enjoyed the plot, but I do think that it could have been longer! The characters were again awesome! Allison was again the main character and I felt really sorry for her in this book! In this book, Allison was really pushed to her limit and she had so much going on in not only her family life, but her mythical life as well, so I felt really sorry for her! She was prepared to do what she had to do though to get rid of the harm that threatened her family and friends though, and she has grown a lot as a character from the first book to the girl she was in this book! She hadn't changed as a character though, but she had gotten stronger, which I liked! I loved her in this book too! Ethan was again the main love interest of Allison, and it was amazing to see Allison and Ethan's relationship grow in this book! They were so cute together! There were a few hot scenes between them too lol! Ethan was prepared in this book to stick with Allison and help her any way he could, even if it put him in danger! I admired that about him! I could also see that he had deep feelings for Allison, and that he would do anything for her! I just adored Ethan and he was the hotter in this book than what he was in the others lol! I also enjoyed that a lot of secondary characters from the other books were back in this book! They always add a lot to the plot! I'm really sad that this is the final book in this trilogy! I've really enjoyed the trilogy and its characters, so I'm sad to see it come to an end! I'm excited to see what other books this author is going to release though, and I can guarantee that I'll definitely be reading them! The cover for this book is absolutely stunning! It's really pretty and I love how well it suits the other covers in the trilogy too! Big thank you to Laura for an ARC of A Place Beyond and to Good Choice Reading Blog Tours for having me on the Blog Tour!

Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. The Forgotten Ones is her first published novel.
