Although I didn't like where the last book in this trilogy ended, I was really excited to read this book and find out how everything was going to end! I didn't like the ending of the last book because it basically ended half-way through a conversation, which was a bit weird lol! This book picks right up from where the last book left off from though, and it was a short, enjoyable read! I actually read in it in one sitting it was that short lol! The plot was awesome and continued on brilliantly from the last book! The plot also came to a close and you could see all the bits and pieces be tied up to answer all the questions raised in the previous books! I really enjoyed the plot and a few things happened in it that I wasn't expecting! I do think that some scenes and the overall plot could have been expanded though! It was a bit rushed and some scenes were pretty short! The big finale scene that I had been waiting ages for also went in a completely different direction to what I was expecting lol! It didn't have as big an impact on me as I was hoping it was going too! Overall though, I really enjoyed the plot, but I do think that it could have been longer! The characters were again awesome! Allison was again the main character and I felt really sorry for her in this book! In this book, Allison was really pushed to her limit and she had so much going on in not only her family life, but her mythical life as well, so I felt really sorry for her! She was prepared to do what she had to do though to get rid of the harm that threatened her family and friends though, and she has grown a lot as a character from the first book to the girl she was in this book! She hadn't changed as a character though, but she had gotten stronger, which I liked! I loved her in this book too! Ethan was again the main love interest of Allison, and it was amazing to see Allison and Ethan's relationship grow in this book! They were so cute together! There were a few hot scenes between them too lol! Ethan was prepared in this book to stick with Allison and help her any way he could, even if it put him in danger! I admired that about him! I could also see that he had deep feelings for Allison, and that he would do anything for her! I just adored Ethan and he was the hotter in this book than what he was in the others lol! I also enjoyed that a lot of secondary characters from the other books were back in this book! They always add a lot to the plot! I'm really sad that this is the final book in this trilogy! I've really enjoyed the trilogy and its characters, so I'm sad to see it come to an end! I'm excited to see what other books this author is going to release though, and I can guarantee that I'll definitely be reading them! The cover for this book is absolutely stunning! It's really pretty and I love how well it suits the other covers in the trilogy too! Big thank you to Laura for an ARC of A Place Beyond and to Good Choice Reading Blog Tours for having me on the Blog Tour!

Author bio:

Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn’t until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known. The Forgotten Ones is her first published novel.
