To be illogical and have faith in religion is illegal, to be limitless is dangerous. And Illness is seen as a defect – all flaws that are inexcusable. But to love is the greatest betrayal of all man kind. It is a fault the world has long forgotten and punishable by death, a fatal risk Aecker and Opel are fully prepared to take - because in love there is freedom. But how far can they push back before it claims their lives and of those they care about?

I was really excited when I first heard about this book! It sounded like an awesome dystopian book! The cover was then revealed, which totally made me want the book even more! I mean, the cover is just amazing! I've also met the author at a Book Convention, but had yet to read any of her books, so when I was offered an ARC of this one, I jumped at it! While I enjoyed this book, I had a few problems with it too! Well, one minor problem with the plot! The plot of this book developed at such a rapid pace! I mean, I was getting into a scene and then something would happen and the plot would develop even further! I even had to re-read a few scenes they moved that fast lol! That's the only problem I had with this book though! Apart from that, I loved the plot and it really intrigued me and left me desperate to read on and see how things were going to develop! I also loved the unique dystopian concept to this book too! I don't think I've read a book with the same concept before! It was executed brilliantly too! I overall really enjoyed the plot and the direction it went in! The characters were awesome! Opel was the main female character and she was quite vulnerable in this book! She was also a really confused character because she couldn't remember any of her memories! I did feel sorry for her, but Opel became such a strong person as this book progressed! I just loved her! She put herself in danger to protect and save the ones she loved! That showed me how far she had come in such a short time! I also loved her relationship with her love interest, Aecker! I could see that she had feelings for him and that she would do anything to save him! I just loved Opel and I can't wait to see her develop in the next book! Aecker was the main male character and he was so hot! I loved Aecker's determination and persistence in this book! He never once gave up on Opel, and that told me a lot about the kind of guy he was! Aecker also put himself in danger to save the ones he loved! He kept his wits about him in this book too and I could see that he would do anything to protect Opel from danger! I would say that Aecker went through the most in this book, which made me feel really sorry for him! I really wanted him to catch a break and be able to spend some downtime with Opel! Their relationship was dangerous as soon as it started though, so I understood why Aecker went through a lot! I was really happy when I discovered that this book was going to be written from both Opel and Aecker's point of views! It made this book even better and it was really interesting to go inside both characters heads! It also helped me connect with them more too! I'll definitely be reading the next book in this series, even though I had a few minor problems with the plot of this book! I can't wait to read it and see where the story's going to go next! The ending of this book also left it at the perfect place! It left me intrigued as to what's going to happen in the next book! The cover for this book is just amazing! I was blown away when I first saw it because of how unique it is! It drew me right to this book too! Big thank you to Carlyle for an ARC of Dead of Night and to Lady Ambers Tour for having me on the Blog Tour!
