Synopsis: A reader gets sucked into the book she’s reading and is trapped, unless she convinces the hero of the story to send her home. Just her luck - the story is unfinished, and its sexy hero is far more alpha male than she’s prepared to handle.
What Naia doesn’t know: the story – and its hero – have been expecting her for quite some time, even though she has no idea what she’s doing there.
Naia must learn quickly how to navigate the dangerous, magical world of Black Moon Draw and find a way to woo the unlikely, uncooperative hero of the story, who holds the key to returning her home.
I was really excited when I heard about this book! I mean, a reader gets sucked into a book she's reading? Woah! I've never really heard of another book with the same premise before, and it sounded like an amazing premise for a plot! After reading this book, it may be my favourite book from this author! And that's saying something because I completely adore her Witchling series! This book really was amazing! I loved everything about it! The plot had plenty of action in it and the sexual tension between the two main characters was leaking off the pages! It was seriously hot! The plot also developed brilliantly, and I found it really hard to put it down! I also read this book in a few sitting because I found it hard to put down! The whole idea of the plot really intrigued me and it was executed brilliantly! It also exceeded my expectations! I mean, I had a general idea of what could happen in the plot, but what did happen in the plot blew me away! I just loved it! The characters were just as amazing as the plot! Naia was the main female character and she was so funny in this book! She made me laugh and smile all the way through this book with her witty attitude and the things she did! I just loved her! Naia was sucked into a completely different world, so she had to adapt to that world! I think Naia did a brilliant job of adapting though! She was also prepared to give her life to protect her love interest! Well, I guess in a way she did give her life to save him at one point! That told me a lot about Naia! I just loved Naia and I loved her personality and that she developed a lot in this book! The Shadow Knight was the main male character and he was so freaking hot! He was also possessive and I loved how protective he was of Naia! The Shadow Knight sort of tried to keep his secrets to himself in this book, but as the plot progressed, he started to reveal more about himself! I loved getting to know more about the kind of guy he was, because he really intrigued me! I also loved that his personality didn't change in this book! He was always dark and brooding, even when it came to Naia! We did get to start to see a tiny bit of a softer side to him but that came right at the end lol! He was such a big, brooding character as well, which suited the role he played in the book! I loved that this book was written from both Naia and the Shadow Knight's point of views! It gave me more insight into the story and it made me enjoy this book even more as it helped me learn more about the main characters! I can completely understand why this book is a standalone! Everything was wrapped up and all the questions were answered! The ending was also perfect and I loved it! The epilogue was also done brilliantly! It left it with a bit of an open ending, but the reader should be able to understand it! I'm really sad this book is a standalone though lol! The cover for this book is stunning! It suits the book perfectly and also represents a certain scene the exact way I imagined it in my head! Big thank you to Lizzy for an ARC of Black Moon Draw and to Barclay Publicity for having me on the Blog Tour!
