Blog Tour & Giveaway: Sinful Secrets by Melissa Ohnoutka!

Excerpt!

“Oh, Ryker. I don’t know what to say. Thank you so much. You have no idea what this means to me.”
“You can show me later.” He gave Joanna a sly smile and watched her blush.
“Hmm…not sure I’m up to where that might lead.” She eased the blankets down, revealing those shapely legs he remembered from so long ago. Sexy as hell.
“You can trust me.” He diverted his gaze when she caught him staring, feeling the tension spark through his muscles.
“Can you toss me my robe?” She pointed to the chair in the corner.
He did as she asked and helped her slip it over her shoulders, feeling the toned muscles of her upper arms. “You working out?”
“A little. Don’t worry. No more Karate, but I like to stay fit. Does that surprise you, or scare you?” she laughed.
“No. Not at all.” He let his thumbs massage the tense cords of her neck and felt her instantly relax. Awareness bounced back and forth between their bodies, her willingness to submit to his touch causing his breath to hitch.
“That feels wonderful.” She rolled her neck, her head falling back to rest against his chest where his heart raced for the finish line.
He cleared his throat. “If you want to see your father today, we best get going. That head nurse is a real piece of work. Not a compassionate bone in her body.”
She locked eyes with his as she turned to pull the wheelchair away from the wall beside the bed and eased down into the seat. “You able to push this cripple around?”
So caught up in his shit, he’d forgotten about her injuries. She had a nasty leg wound. Over forty stitches. Couldn’t walk on her own. Not without a lot of pain.
“You betcha,” he said, stepping behind her and slipping his left arm out of the sling. The damn annoying thing was more standard procedure than anything else. The pain in his shoulder had subsided hours ago due to the drugs. “Going to look funny, me pushing you, since I have more bandages.” He chuckled and gripped the handles tight, waiting for her to settle in.
“You really are my hero, ya know?” Her head fell back against his stomach again.
Sparks ignited at her innocent action. “Just doing my job, ma’am.” If she only knew what hoops he’d jump through for her.
   “Liar,” she giggled.

Event planner Joanna McNamee is scrambling to ensure her father’s company Christmas party goes smoothly, but one disaster after another has her convinced someone is trying to sabotage her career. With the help of a man from her past who she’s still not sure she can trust, she puts the pieces together and realizes her business is the least of her problems—a cold-blooded killer is out to destroy her father and take her as his prized possession.

The last thing Deputy Ryker Kane expects is for a simple truck hijacking to throw him back into the middle of the Black Widow case he’d been forced to abandon, not to mention right into the arms of the sweet woman he’d let walk away ten years earlier. When he finds Jo Jo kidnapped and drugged, he has to use all his wits and skills honed from years as a detective to save them both. Despite the secrets between them, Ryker’s bound and determined to give them a second chance at love.
