I've read this author's English series and I loved that series a lot, so I couldn't wait to read more from her! When I heard about this book, I knew it was going to be my kind of read, so I signed up for the Blog Tour and started my ARC as soon as I received it! I really enjoyed this book! The characters were amazing, the plot developed at a really good pace, and there was plenty of romance! I did think that the relationship between the two main characters started off a bit weirdly considering they had just met and didn't know anything about each other, but I could understand why they started it the way they did! They did it for show, but it soon turned to real life! There were also plenty of hot scenes between the two main characters, and they were really hot! The plot also had a bit of a suspense aspect to it as well! The suspense side didn't play as big a part as it could have, but it was still good to have it there! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Sunny was the main female character, and it was easy to tell that Sunny was hiding a big secret! She was mysterious right from the first page, and you then get little titbits of what her secret could be as the book progresses! Once I found out her secret, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her! She had been through a lot and it had a big impact on her and the way she was! I loved Sunny in this book though! She was very straight with her love interest and she had a sort of confidence about her! Sunny was also thrown into a different world when she struck a deal with her love interest, but she handed it very well and tried her best! Max was the main male character and love interest of Sunny! Max was a guy that had a lot of girls! They threw themselves at him all the time because of his status on campus, but Max was tired of it all, which is how the name of this book came about lol! Max was seriously hot and I liked that he wanted to change his ways! I also loved the way he was with Sunny! He easily developed feelings for her and he wasn't quite sure what to do about those feelings half the time lol! Max also learned a lot about what was more important in his life! Yes, football was important, but so was him settling down with one girl and being happy! I loved that this book was written from both Sunny and Max's point of views! I wasn't sure if it was going to be after I read the synopsis, but I'm really happy that it was! It helped me connect more and understand both characters and it allowed for more things to happen in the plot! I can also understand why this book is a standalone! It does make me sad that it is because I loved reading Sunny and Max's story, but the ending was left at the perfect place and was very beautiful! I also can't wait to see what this author is going to release next and I'm definitely going to check out her Briarwood Academy series! The cover for this book is also seriously hot!
