I haven't read any of this author's other books, but the cover drew me to this one after I saw it up for review on Xpresso Book Tours! The synopsis also sounded amazing, so I requested a copy! I'm really happy that I took a chance on this book because I enjoyed it! It was a second chance romance and it had plenty of seriously hot scenes in it and plenty of secrets! The hot scenes were pretty hot and there were quite a few of them, which I loved! The secrets also added a lot to the plot, even though it did take a while for them to start to come out! They changed the plot around a lot though and explained a lot of things! The plot also had a bit of suspense in it and some action, which added a lot! This book also only took me a few sittings to read and I read the first 60% in one sitting! I was reading a few more chapters every chance I had and I was always wanting to find out what was going to happen next! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Cameron 'Quinn' was the main female character, and in this book she was pretty sneaky lol! I wasn't expecting her plan to be what it was, but Quinn had really thought it through and knew what she had to do! Quinn had also been through a lot in her life, which made my heart go out to her, and her love interest was one of the only bright spots in her life! This meant that I could understand why she was so broken when he left! Quinn had come a long way though and she was more confident and sure of herself! Lincoln was the main male character and love interest of Quinn! I loved Lincoln a lot in this book! He was seriously hot and was totally different to the rest of his family! This made Lincoln very likable and easy for me to connect with! Lincoln also had his reasons for leaving Quinn! It did take a while for his reasons to come out, but it did make more sense after he told Quinn them! He did it to protect her and to keep her safe! It was also easy to see that Lincoln loved Quinn a lot and he was very protective of her too! I loved that this book was written from both Quinn and Lincoln's point of views! I wasn't 100% sure if it was going to be after I read the synopsis, but I thought that it was going to be! I loved that it was written from both characters point of views! It helped me connect more with both characters and it allowed for more things to happen in the plot! I can also completely understand why this book is a standalone! Everything was wrapped up and all the questions raised were answered! The ending could have been extended more in my opinion, but it did sum up the characters relationship nicely! I wouldn't mind another book or maybe even a novella for Quinn and Lincoln though lol! I can't wait to check out this author's other books too! They sound amazing! The cover for this book is also seriously hot! I love it a lot and the models on the front are absolutely perfect for the characters of Quinn and Lincoln!
