I read the first two books in this series last year and I wrote a review for the first book, but didn't write one for the second book lol! I have no idea how that happened, but I think I'll have to do a re-read soon lol! I then signed up to review this book, even though I have to be honest and say that I couldn't really remember what happened in the other books! This book can be read as a standalone though! After reading this book, I found myself really enjoying it! The plot was intriguing and I wanted to read on to find out what was going to happen next! There was also some action in the plot and a bit of suspense! These two elements added to the plot and made it more interesting! There was also plenty of romance in the plot and the romance allowed for some seriously hot scenes between the two main characters! The ending of this book was also left at the perfect place and summed up the characters story beautifully! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Halle was the main female character, and in this book she was reluctant to get back into a relationship with her love interest because they had history and she was still hurt, so I could understand her reluctance! I liked Halle a lot in this book too! She was quite a confident character when it came to her love interest, and she did like to make him sweat a bit lol! Halle also went through a lot in this book when it came to the danger aspect and I did feel for her! Graham was the main male character and love interest of Halle! I loved Graham a lot in this book and he was pretty damn hot! He also worked hard in this book to get his business off the ground and he had moved back to his old town to look after his sick mother! Graham was a determined guy that just wanted to protect those around him, especially Halle, and he was very protective of her! Graham also carried a lot of guilt in this book and it was Halle that helped him when it came to this! I loved that this book was written from both Halle and Graham's point of views! I was hoping that it was going to be because the first two books were written from dual point of view, so I was expecting this book to be too! I'm really happy that it was because it helped me connect and understand Halle and Graham more, especially as they were both going through their own situations and had a history together! It allowed for a few more things to happen in the plot too because the main characters didn't spend every minute of the plot together! I now can't wait to read the next book in this series! I know that a novella is releasing next month, which continues the main characters story from the first book, so I'm definitely planning a re-read before the novella releases! I can't wait to read the next full-length book in this series and check out this author's other books that have released too! The cover for this book is also absolutely stunning! It really drew me to the book and made me want to check out the synopsis! I love all the new covers for this series and they really suit the feel of the books!
