Release Blitz, Review & Giveaway: Love, Again by L.P. Dover!

Publication date: 9th April 2019
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 4 stars
Synopsis: Sometimes all you need is a second chance …

Aubrey Reynolds is a small-town girl who’s made it big.
A successful Hollywood director, Aubrey doesn’t have time to linger on what could have been.
But when a routine blood test comes back with a false positive, she decides to take some time off to do the things she’s always wanted to do: taste the famous chocolate chip cookies at the Minnesota State Fair, hike the Grand Teton National Park, scuba dive in the Caribbean.
But after Aubrey admits to herself what she’s really missing, she heads back home to Dusty Valley, Oklahoma . . . and the man she left behind.

Cole Haywood is a small-town fireman and that’s just fine with him.
Sure, when the love of his life left their hometown to chase her dreams he was heartbroken and—he’ll admit—damn mad.
But Cole would have never forgiven himself if he had held Aubrey back from success.
So the last thing he expects after all these years is to walk into his favorite bar one night and find the girl he’s always loved—there—looking for him.

Maybe now’s the time to make his dreams come true.

I've read pretty much all of this author's contemporary books and I only have three of her paranormal books to read, but I always look forward to a new release from her! The author then posted about ARCs of this book in her Facebook group and I jumped at the chance for one! After reading this book, I can say that I enjoyed it and it only took me a few sittings to read because I had a hard time putting it down! The plot also developed at a nice pace and I liked that it didn't drag on and have unnecessary scenes in it! I also loved the adventure aspect to the plot and there also wasn't any action and suspense in the plot, but there was plenty of romance! The romance allowed for some seriously hot scenes between the two main characters and they were really, really hot! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Aubrey was the main female character, and in this book she worked in a very cool job, but she had left someone behind that she really loved to pursue her dream career! Aubrey's life then changed and she reconnected with the one guy for her! I liked Aubrey a lot in this book and I felt like she made the right choice when it came to her love interest because they had spent ten years apart and they made quite a couple! Cole was the main male character and love interest of Aubrey! I felt for Cole in this book because Aubrey had left him all those years ago and she had left him broke hearted! Cole had tried to move on, but it was difficult for him! I do think that Cole forgave Aubrey too easily, but in a way I could understand why he did because all he wanted was to be with her! Cole also worked in a very respectable job and I also loved him a lot in this book! It was easy to see how much he loved Aubrey too! I loved that this book was written from both Aubrey and Cole's point of views! I was kinda expecting it to be because the synopsis gives the impression that it's going to be, so I'm really happy that it was! It allowed for a lot more things to happen, especially as Aubrey and Cole didn't spend all of the book together and were going through their own things! It also helped me connect and understand Aubrey and Cole more too! I can also completely understand why this book is a standalone! I'm really sad that it is because I would love to read more on Aubrey and Cole, but the ending was left at the perfect place and summed up the characters story beautifully! I now can't wait to see what this author is going to release next, but I think I'll be waiting a while for any information on another release considering this book doesn't release until April lol! I still have a few books of this author's to read though! I also like the cover for this book a lot! It suits the feel of the book and the cover image suits the relationship between Aubrey and Cole! The cover models are also the perfect representation of Aubrey and Cole too! Big thank you to L.P. Dover and Loveswept for an ARC of Love, Again!

Author bio:

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L. P. Dover is a southern belle living in North Carolina with her husband and two beautiful girls. Before she began her literary journey she worked in periodontics, enjoying the wonderment of dental surgeries.

She loves to write, but she also loves to play golf, go on mountain hikes, and has a passion for singing. Her youngest daughter, who she’s also written a children’s book with, expects a concert each and every night before bedtime, usually Christmas carols.

Dover has written countless novels in several different genres, including a children’s book with her youngest daughter, but her favorite to write is romantic suspense. However, she has found a new passion in romantic comedy, especially involving sexy golfers. Who knew the sport could be so dirty and fun to write about.
