Synopsis: Seraphine Dumont seems to have it all: she’s gorgeous, brilliant, and part of one of France’s most illustrious dynasties. But underneath the facade, Seraphine struggles to hold it all together. Besides grieving her adoptive father’s suspicious and sudden death, she also shares a tenuous role in the family business with Blaise, her in-name-only cousin. As tumultuous as their history is, he may be the only member of the deceptive Dumont family she can trust.
Seraphine is a temptation Blaise can’t resist. The torch he’s carried for years still burns. It’s his secret—a quiet obsession just out of reach. Until his brother demands that he spy on the increasingly cagey Seraphine, whom their father considers a dispensable Dumont outlier. But the more Blaise watches her and the closer he gets, the more he sees Seraphine may have every right to be suspicious. And she could be the next one in danger—from his own family.
As blood runs hot and hearts give in, Seraphine and Blaise have only each other. But can their love survive the secrets they’re about to uncover?

I read an ARC of the first book in this series and really enjoyed it, so I was looking forward to reading this book! I was waiting patiently for it to release, but I was then able to get an ARC from the publisher and I started reading it as soon as I could! After reading this book, I can say I loved it a lot! The plot only took me a few sittings to read and it had me desperate to read on and find out what was going to happen next! It developed at the perfect pace as well and There was plenty of romance in the plot as well, and the romance allowed for a few seriously hot scenes between the two main characters! There was a bit of action and suspense as well! The ending of this book was also left at the perfect place for the characters and I loved it! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Seraphine was the main female character, and she made quite a few appearances in the first book as a secondary character, so I couldn't wait to read her story! I got to learn a lot more about Seraphine in this book and my heart went out to her because she had been through a lot and she tried her best in this book to find out the truth! Seraphine was also a strong character and she learned a lot about the other characters in this book! Blaise was the main male character and love interest of Seraphine! It's been a few months since I read the first book, but I think that Blaise made a few appearances in it! I loved Blaise a lot in this book! He didn't trust his family, which was completely understandable, and he went against them to help Seraphine! I loved the way Blaise was with Seraphine too! They had a history and he had always felt something for her, but was able to act on his feelings in this book! He was protective of her too! I loved that this book was written from Seraphine and Blaise's point of views! I was hoping that it was going to be because the first book was written from dual point of view and the synopsis gives the impression that it's going to be written this way! I'm really happy that it was because it helped me connect more with Seraphine and Blaise and understand It allowed for more things to happen in the plot as well, especially as they didn't spend every second of the plot together and had their own situations going on! I now can't wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it's going to be the final book, which has me sad, but I'm exciated about who the main characters are going to be and I'm excited for it to release! I know that it doesn't release until February, which is a bit of a wait, but at least it's not a year lol! I'll definitely be reading it as soon as it releases! The cover for this book is also seriously hot! I loved it as soon as I saw it and it looks perfect with the cover for the first book! The cover model is also the perfect Blaise and the cover would definitely attract me to the book! Big thank you to Montlake Romance and Netgalley for an ARC of Disarm!
