Blog Tour & Giveaway: Wild Child [Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Riders MC 10] by Sadie King!

She’s the MC President’s daughter, she’s off limits, we’re on a road trip together and there’s only one bed!

Charlie is spontaneous and wild. She’s utterly gorgeous and intent on contradicting everything I say.
She frustrates the heck out of me and turns me on in equal measure.
I shouldn’t fall for the feisty MC President’s daughter.
She’s off limits and fifteen years younger than me.
I’m ex-military and stuck in my ways, she’s a free spirit who follows her heart.
We’re opposites in every way.
But when we’re stuck on a road trip together, and there’s only one bed I don’t know how long this ex-soldier’s defences will hold…

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Daughter of the Lost [The Porn Star’s Daughter 02] by Kay Stephens!

Excerpt!

   No, it’s not time yet.”
Trinity batted at the finger incessantly poking her shoulder and pulled a pillow over her head to block out the blare of the alarm clock. And, for just a moment, she escaped. She slipped back into a world of sleep so seductive she would have willingly traded her remaining days to let it hold her for eternity.
But Tali was relentless. She wedged both of her hands under Trinity and rolled her limp body to the edge of the bed.
“This isn’t New Orleans,” she said. “It’s going to take us two hours just to get to the airport.”
“Then I’m dropping out of school.” Trinity yawned and pulled her pillow tighter over her ears.
“Fuck it,” Tali whispered. “Me too. We’ll stay here and start our own business.”
   “Sex shop?” Trinity asked.
“Sex shop.” Tali grabbed Trinity’s hand and held it up in a blind show of unity before dropping it to the mattress.
They had started the summer in separate rooms, rooms so far apart it felt as if they were still living in different zip codes—distant and lonely and better at following each other’s lives via social media than actual human interaction.
And Trinity had missed her. Though they were temporarily residing at the same address, eating the same food, and driving the same car, she missed the days of living their lives together out of Tali’s cozy dorm room at Richardson Hall—Tali tangled up in James, Trinity trying to peel herself off Seth’s sweaty body. Waking up to Tali’s beautiful smile every morning. Hugging her tight every night. Together in their freshman-year sanctuary, they knew no matter what they had to face that day, they could come home to their safe space—their stability no outside force could crack. Apart in Tali’s massive LA home, it felt like their floor had fallen out.
And Tali had missed Trinity too. By June, they had started making excuses to sneak into each other’s rooms. Trinity’s room was too hot. Tali’s was too cold. Tali’s room was too close to the noise of the busy city streets. Trinity’s room had sheets that were too fucking expensive to sleep on. By July, they had given up the excuses and just moved into the one room. And it felt like a sleepover that would never end, Trinity’s best friend next to her, passing a bottle of wine back and forth over stories of their freshman year at Filton University. Their school work, their boys, the battles they had fought together. Going back to school now felt like tainting the memories they had already created. It was far better to start over in LA.

When the freshman party ends, the sophomore hangover hits.

Trinity Tachel has no use for society's rules. Not after the New Orleans police failed to investigate the murder of her sex-worker mother. Not after she was abandoned to the Louisiana foster care system as a child. And certainly not after fighting through freshman year to prove herself worthy of a spot at the prestigious Filton University.

Trinity is overjoyed when she's invited to spend the summer in the Los Angeles mansion of retired porn star Missy Mariola. Escape the daily struggle to survive as a New Orleans college student? Yes please. Shock proper society by openly embracing an adult film star? Even better.

But when Trinity returns to New Orleans for her sophomore year, she's an unrecognizable version of herself.
Missy Mariola has taken over Trinity's life. Missy doesn't want Trinity to work, makes all the rules-and even chooses Trinity's housemates. Trinity finds herself living with people she despises, including a hot New Orleans cop who has a frustrating habit of showing up during her worst moments.

Trinity has to decide if she wants to remain the abandoned child of her past or embrace a future with people who love her.

Book Blitz & Giveaway: September Road [Forbidden Silver Attraction 01] by Pax Sinclair!

Excerpt!

Ruthie is handing me a beer when I get to the counter. I unscrew the top and reach under the counter for a glass. I slowly pour the brew into the tumbler, place it on a tray, and travel back to the table. There’s a little condensation pooling at the base of the water glass on the table. I balance the tray in one hand and pull a cloth from my apron. Moving forward to wipe the water, my shoe finds something squishy on the floor. My foot slips, I lurch forward. The bottle falls over on the tray, beer running over the side, as beer sloshes from the glass in an arc. I let out a shriek as the liquid lands on his face, shirt, and his meal.
He’s covered in beer, most of it dripping from his face. “I’m sorry,” handing him the cloth. He snatches it from me, rubbing it over his face, then looks down at the dark stain on his shirt.
“I can wash it for you,” I offer. “I can have it back to you tomorrow.”
He’s staring at his shirt. “I’m not going to be in town that long.”
Ruthie bustles next to me. “I’m Ruthie. We’ll comp your food, sir. Sorry about the accident.” She’s loading his beer-soaked meal on the tray. “You can clean up in our bathroom.”
He drops the towel on the table. “I have another shirt in my vehicle. I’ll get changed and come back.”
   “I’m sorry,” I mumble.
He stands, towering over me with no anger on his face, but it’s much worse; it’s pity. “Don’t worry about it. You can try again when I get back,” his polite grin tight.
We clear everything off and walk to the kitchen. Russell isn’t happy when he has to reopen containers with the leftovers. I volunteer to clean up for him. He grunts and says, “No need.”
Ruthie and I are waiting for the order at the counter. I’m checking my phone to see if Creed has left a message about tonight when she nudges me, chucking her chin at the window to our back parking lot. “Hey, take a look at that.”
Buzz Cut is standing at the back of a black SUV. He opens the trunk, pulling the back panel down. He slides a case to the edge, then pulls his wet shirt over his head. The sight of him with his chest bare, broad shoulders, and fucking tight abs is turning my insides into mush.
“Halleluiah, sweet Jesus. Talk about eye candy,” Ruthie moans.
He unzips the case, rummaging inside of it for a bit. He finally pulls out a shirt, sniffs at it, then shrugs into it, buttoning it from the bottom up. All I can do is stare while my body has all kinds of uncomfortable feelings in places where it shouldn’t. I look away.
When he walks back into the diner, he’s pushing his shirttail into his jeans. He slides into the booth, looking over his shoulder at me. “I’m ready.”

I’m a former Army Ranger, an Afghan vet that’s faced my share of battles, but nothing in my training has prepared me for the road trip I’m about to take alone with Riley, the daughter of my best buddy.

Josh and I grew up in a Vermont small town. We joined the Army after high school and we busted our asses to become Rangers. I’ll never forget the night he died on a mission in Afghanistan, leaving behind his young daughter Riley and his wife, Laci.

Years later, when Laci died, it became my duty to fulfill her final wishes: to drive her daughter from New Mexico to Vermont to Josh’s mother, the only family Riley has left. While I take Riley to her grandmother, I’m to tell her about a father she doesn’t know and the harder memories of how Josh and Laci’s lives intertwined with mine.

Riley is a 20-year-old smoking hot beauty with sass, determination, and she won’t back down, especially from me. And yeah, she’s my type. Damn, she’s more than just a temptation, she’s my best buddy’s daughter. I know where my duty lies, so this brown-eyed girl is off limits.

I have to be honest with myself; there’s no point in sugarcoating this situation. What could that princess see in a 40-year-old soldier still battling his own demons? Being in close quarters on a long road trip with her will be challenging enough, but staying true to my loyalty to Josh and protecting his daughter, even from my own feelings, will be the real test. I can do it. I can be a hard ass and complete the mission, but damn, she’s beautiful.

Book Blitz & Giveaway: Storm and Flame [Enchanted 01] by Mallory Wanless!

Excerpt!

Quinn awoke to find himself bound to the oak he’d been using as shelter by some sort of invisible force. Lyra appeared to be unconscious still and was being kept under a small cage that looked like it was made entirely of branches. Almost like the trees themselves had turned on him and Lyra and were holding them prisoner.
“Lyra,” he hissed as he tried to wriggle free from his invisible binds. “Lyra, wake up! What the hells happened? We need to get out of here.”
“She can’t hear you, and the more you struggle, the tighter the binds will get.” It was a girl. A GIRL!?! How the hells had that girl gotten the drop on him and Lyra like that? What was that shock? She was hiding close, by the sound of it, but it was too dark to see anything.
“Who the mux are you? Why are you holding us? What the hells did you do?!” He was scared, but more importantly, he was livid. This should never have happened to him. He was better than this, dammit.
“Why were you sneaking up on us? What do you want?” Her voice was shaky and coming from behind him now, to the left, but there was something else, an animal by the sound of its light steps, closer to Lyra. He could almost make out the shape of it. Whatever it was, it was small and nimble.
“We thought you might be dead. We were checking to see if you needed help. Can you let us go now?” He kept fidgeting with his binds but she was telling the truth, the more he moved, the tighter they became. When he started losing feeling in his fingers, he finally gave up on freeing himself.
“Liar! You wanted to hurt me, rape me, kill us, and steal what little we have!”
Q heard the charge before he saw the flash of blue light or felt the shock.
“Muuuuuuuux! Stop doing that! Fine, we were going to rob you, but only because we thought you were already dead. We’re not killers.” He must’ve been seeing things, or maybe he hurt his head with all the electrocution, but it looked like the shocks were actually lightning bolts coming off that small creature over by Lyra. But that was impossible, right? There was no such thing as an electric animal. Everyone knew that magical animals died out eons ago. Although, Lyra’s fire-starting would probably be considered magic…
“You were going to rob my corpse?” Her question interrupted his thoughts. “And you think that’s somehow supposed to make me comfortable enough to let you go?” She had moved again. Closer still, but now she was more to the right, like she was trying to get a better look at him without letting him do the same.
“Listen, lady, we aren’t going to hurt you. We’re just trying to make a living here. What are you doing sleeping on the side of the road like that anyway? You could get hurt or killed.” He left the idiot implied since she clearly already knew she’d screwed up. Only a complete moron slept on the side of the road. If you must camp out while traveling, you do it further into the woods for protection from the elements and shady people looking for trouble.
“Trust me,” she replied, “this wasn’t my first choice. This wasn’t my choice at all.” The sadness and despair in her voice were palpable. He was starting to feel sorry for her until he remembered that she was currently holding them prisoner.

Elena has always been a disappointment. Her magic is practically non-existent and now, on her sixteenth birthday, she is expelled from magic school by the strict headmistress–also known as her mother. Cast out into the world of the magically inept with only her familiar for company, Elena feels lost and alone until she meets a strange boy in the woods.

Quinn is a thief, a hunter, and a hothead. His unexpected friendship with Elena awakens a fiery side in him–quite literally– and uncovers new and surprising magical abilities. Except men aren’t supposed to be capable of magic.

With Quinn’s help, Elena carves a safe new life as a barmaid, but when she is attacked, her powers awaken with shocking ferocity. Elena’s explosion of magic creates a power surge that attracts the attention of magical investigators, sent to uncover and contain the source of the power surge.

But the awakening of their powers kickstarts an ancient prophecy. Will they be able to escape those that hunt them? Can they fulfill the prophecy, destroy the turmio and save magic from being destroyed once and for all?
