Blog Tour & Giveaway: Keep Me Still by Caisey Quinn!

Publication date: 11th November 2013
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
SynopsisLayla Flaherty had the perfect life, or close to it. Until a stranger gunned her parents down right in front of her, leaving her with seizure inducing PTSD. After years of trying to pass as normal and failing miserably, she resigns herself to being invisible. But new to town Landen O’Brien sees her, and he likes what he sees. Much to Layla’s surprise, he doesn’t freak out when she has a seizure in front of him. He does the exact opposite, calming her until the tremors subside. But Landen has secrets of his own. Secrets that both bind them together and tear them apart.

Scarred by loss, Layla leaves her hometown of Hope Springs, Georgia, hoping to put her painful past behind her and start over in college in California. When she runs into Landen at freshmen orientation, she has a choice to make. Reinforce those steel walls she's built up around herself or give the only boy who can keep her still a second chance.

Landen’s more than ready to tear down those walls but this time when they come crashing down, they might bury her.
Favourite quote: "You are the most dangerous kind of beautiful."

I actually read this book when it first came out in July with only the first novella in it and since I finished it, I had been eagerly anticipating the end novella! The first novella, Let You Leave, did confuse me a little lol! I knew that it was in this book somewhere as the synopsis for the first book tells you that it is, so I felt like a bit of an idiot after I got about 30% through this book on my Kindle and realised that I'd just read the novella lol! I hadn't realised that the novella was right at the start, so watch out for that! The first novella was so beautiful! It sets up the story and it introduces the characters! I adored it! The end novella, Hold Us Close sort of summed up the main characters relationship and it showed you how far they had come, both together and separately! Adding the novellas to this book was a brilliant idea! I got more insight into the characters backstory and I got to connect with them more! Plus, this book is the first book that I have ever read like this! The plot of the full length novel showed the main characters relationship forming and the hardships that a relationship can bring! The plot was so emotional and it was just so hard to read because you want the characters to catch a break and finally have some light in their darkness! I cried numerous times at the plot and I would recommend this book to anyone! There were also some huge twist and turns in it as well! The characters were truly amazing! Layla was the main character and she had been through so much in her life! My heart broke for her! Her parents were gunned down in front of her and she was left with the emotional turmoil of trying to come to terms with it and move on with her life! And then she gets even worse news that threatens her life! Layla was such a loving character! She was always putting other people in front of her, which made my heart break even more to watch her go through such tough issues! Landen was the love interest of Layla and he was such a sweetheart! He had been through a lot in his life as well and my heart broke for him as well! I adored how much he helped Layla, even though he was trying to deal with his own issues at the same time! Landen was a hot guy, but was also a broken one! It was amazing to see two broken characters learn how to heal and that's what this book was about! Landen and Layla's love for each other is the sort of love I want with someone! It was so beautiful, but yet so fragile! I loved that this book was written from both Landen and Layla's point of views as they were both such broken characters that it was essential for this book to be written from both of their point of views! I can completely understand why this book is a standalone! Plus, we did get two novellas as well, which was amazing and such a different way to write a book! When I saw the first cover for this book, I instantly wanted to read it! And then I saw the new cover lol! The new cover is beautiful and suits the characters of Layla and Landen perfectly! I am a lover of the other cover as well!
