I read an ARC of the last book in this series in March and I was left desperate for this book to release! I then received an ARC of this book from the author and publisher about three weeks after I read the last book lol! I started this book as soon as I received it and it only took me like three sittings to read! I was reading it everywhere and every free chance I had lol! This book was just amazing and I loved it so much! The main male character was a secondary character in the last book, and he went through a lot in the last book, so I was really looking forward to reading his story! The plot of this book also developed at the perfect pace and there were some seriously hot scenes in it! There wasn't loads of action and suspense, but there was some action and a bit of suspense in the last maybe 20% of the book! There was plenty of romance though, and the romance was very beautiful and hot! I loved it! The characters were also amazing and I connected with them all the way through this book! Derek was the main male character, and as I said above, he was a secondary character in the last book in this series! Derek went through so much in the last book that my heart completely went out to him, so I couldn't wait to get inside his head in this book! Derek was such an amazing guy in this book! He came such a long way after when he went through, and he really impressed me! Derek was also seriously hot and it was amazing to see him change and become strong again! He deserved to be happy again and live his life to the fullest, and that's exactly what he did in this book! Hayden was the main female character, and she was so sweet and she had such a bright and wonderful way about her! She also worked in an amazing and very rewarding job, and she was so dedicated when it came to her job! I just had so much respect for Hayden in this book! She worked really hard and she taught Derek a lot too! She showed him that you can get a second chance at love, even if you had experienced the huge amount of loss that Derek had! I just loved Hayden and she was a strong and brilliant character! I connected with her all the way through this book too! I loved that this book was written from both Derek and Hayden's point of views! I was expecting it to be after I read the synopsis, but I'm really happy it was! It made the plot even better and it helped me connect more with the two main characters as well! I also can't wait to read the next book in this series! I have no idea whose book it's going to be, but I have an idea! I'm not 100% sure whether it's going to be whose book I think it is though lol! I'm going to be reading it regardless! The cover for this book suits is perfectly! It suits the other covers in the series perfectly too! The models on the front make a really good Derek and Hayden too! Big thank you to L.P.
