Remy
Carmichael – no, Avery – holds out her hand toward me. I notice her nails are a slightly chipped pink on the tips before I shake it. The look on her face is…so damn smug. She doesn’t seem nervous or awkward, as if she’s overthinking everything, like I had assumed she would.
“You okay, bro?” Colt waves his palm in front of my face. “How much has he had to drink?” I assume he asks Greer.
“Just opened the second bottle, so he’s not drunk,” Greer answers. “That, my friend, is what we call thunderstruck.”
Fuck. I realize I’m still staring at Avery and shaking her hand that she wouldn’t let me touch earlier today, so I drop it. I don’t even know what happened from the time I left her to now, but it’s like she got lessons in how to bring a man to his knees and make him beg to fuck her brains out.
Jesus. Convincing the guys I’m taking her home to fake doing just that doesn’t seem like it’ll be as big of a stretch at all since my hard-on is authentic.
I have to give Avery credit. She really decided to throw herself into this role wholeheartedly. And the joke is definitely on me because I didn’t actually think she would wear the dress that’s supposed to be kinky lingerie only worn in the bedroom for your man.
