Blog Tour: Spelled [Casted 02] by Sonya Loveday!

Publication date: 31st March 2014
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 4.5 stars
Synopsis: Releasing Elinor from the spell book was only the beginning for Jade.

When a surprise visit from Lorenzo sets off a downward spiral of events, Jade’s ripped from the confines of Edge’s home and plunged into the madness of the Triad.

Confused by the turn of events, Jade is only sure of four things:

My name is Jade Kinsley.
I’m 20 years old.
I’m an Enforcer for the Triad.
And I have a debt to settle with Original Coven.

Will Jade be able to break through the spell her Grandfather put on her and remember who she is, or will she become just another piece in Lorenzo’s game?

I was so freaking excited about this book that when the author asked me if I would like to beta read it, I almost fell out my chair! The ending of the first book in this series was just insane and I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next! I delved into this book as soon as I got it and I have to admit that the author took it in a completely different direction to what I was expecting! As soon as I started reading it went in a different direction lol! I did really enjoy it though! The plot was just amazing, but I do have to admit that I got confused at times! I'm not sure if I was reading it too fast though because I tend to do that lol! The plot also had plenty of twist and turns in it to keep things interesting and there was plenty of action too! I also loved how it progressed and that the author added so much to it! The plot was also again very original too, which is something I love about this series! I love that it's different and it has a unique concept that I haven't read before! That's definitely a reason why I picked it up to start with! The plot was also executed brilliantly! The characters were again amazing! Jade was again the main female character and for a bit of this book she wasn't the same Jade we met in the first book! Something happened and it made her lose her memories, so she believed that she was on the right side, but it was actually the wrong side! I did feel sorry for Jade because she was just so overwhelmed in this book and she was sort of pulled left, right and centre! She didn't know whether she was coming or going! Jade was pretty epic in this book though! She was just so determined and she was willing to do anything to protect the ones she loved! I admired that so much about her! I also loved her attitude in this book! Edge was again the love interest of Jade and he was even more lost than Jade in this book lol! Like Jade he had had his memories altered and he forgot everything! He spent a good portion of the book like this! It was so sweet watching his love for Jade come back though! Edge was pretty kick-ass in this book too, which was awesome! I just loved him and I could see just how far he would go to protect Jade! I also loved that some new characters were introduced in this book and I loved that characters from the first book were back in this book! They all added so much to the plot! I'm not sure if there's going to be another book in this series, but I don't think there is going to be! Everything was sort of summed up and all the questions from the first book and questions asked in this book were all answered! Plus, the ending showed how far, not only Jade, but all the characters had come! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what this author releases next though! The cover for this book is absolutely stunning! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and it suits the first book's cover perfectly! Big thank you to Sonya for letting me beta read Spelled and for having me on her Blog Tour!

Author bio:

Sonya Loveday, first and foremost, is a reader, an avid one. It is of that love that brought her to the realization that this was the answer to the nagging persistent feeling that 'there has to be something more'.

The dream came alive in 2009 when she purchased her laptop and began the tedious step of becoming a published author.

When she's not reading, she's writing. When she's not writing she's reading. And when she's not doing either of those things she's sleeping, shuttling her children back and forth to school, letting the dogs and cats in and out of the house for the umpteenth time in the last hour and dreaming of a clean house.
