I was really excited when I found out about this book! Some of the characters appear in this author's other contemporary series and I was really excited that they were getting their own book! Well, sort of lol! This book was split into two parts and the first half was about hot twins that briefly appear in the Second Chances series! Their story was about their relationship with a girl that they both had feelings for! I have to be honest and say that I was expecting these characters story to go in a completely different direction to what it did, but I enjoyed how brief it was, and even though it didn't end the way I wanted it too, I could see that it was best for the characters! The second half of this book was about a different couple who appear in the first half, but only as secondary characters! I loved these characters story! It developed really well and although it had a pretty sad ending, it leaves the next book open for a lot to happen! I've never read a book that's been written like this one, but I did really enjoy it and I'd definitely read a book like this again! The characters were amazing! Ashleigh was the main female character of the first half of this book and she was such a normal, every day person! I really liked her! I did feel sorry for her though because she was so confused about her feelings and everything! She handled it all really well though and I loved that she chose carefully who she really wanted to have a relationship with! Ryley and Camden were the main male characters of the first half of this book and they were so freaking hot! And there were two of them lol! Camden and Ryley were twins and were so similar to each other, but so different! Camden sort of had a stick up his ass, but I could understand why, and Ryley was a complete sweetheart! Both guys liked the same sort of things though and had the same taste in women! Gabriella was the main female character of the second half of this book, and like Ashleigh, she was such a normal, everyday person! Gabriella was Ashleigh's close friend and I have to say that Gabriella had a bit of a devilish side to her! She did something to prove this to me in this book! I have to say that I loved her realisation in this book as well! She knew what she wanted, so all she had to do was get it! Tyler was the main male character of the second half of this book and he was such a hottie! I could see his protective side come out in this book and that told me a lot about him! Tyler's character really intrigued me as he wasn't in this book a lot, but he always made an impression when he was! I can't wait to find out more about him in the next book in this series, especially since it's going to focus on him! I loved that the first half of this book was written from Ashleigh, Ryley and Camden's point of views and that the second half was written from Gabriella and Tyler's point of views! It really helped me connect with all the characters more! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it's going to be Tyler's story and I'm excited so read it and find out where his story is going to go! I was dying for this book! I read the first book in the series last month and was desperate for this book to release, especially with how the first book ended! I freaking loved this book! I enjoyed it just as much as the first book! I have to admit that there wasn't as much action in this book as what there was in the first book, but there was a lot of other things going on and the plot was developed on brilliantly from the first book! The action did sort of become more intense as the book progressed though, which I loved! The plot of this book was about the two main characters going on a mission to find one of the main characters brother! I just loved everything about the plot! I loved the suspense, the characters, the setting, everything! It was also the perfect pace to keep me interested and it always left me desperate to read on and find out how everything was going to progress! It was just amazing! I wanted more lol! The characters were again amazing! Nurrin 'Ren' was again the main female character and she was kick-ass in this book! I loved again how much she stood up to her love interest, Finn, and that she didn't let him tell her what to do! I also have to say that she was even more kick-ass than what she was in the first book! I just loved Ren! She sort of always had her head on straight, apart from a particular scene near the end of this book, and she was so down to earth! She also didn't let fear take over when it came to having to fight the zombies or people and she just fought to protect herself! I loved all these things about her! Finn was again the main male character and he was so freaking hot in this book! He was hot in the first book as well! We also find out more about Finn's background in this book, which was really interesting! I wasn't sure what secrets he was hiding and why he didn't want Ren to know anything about his past! His secret was quite unexpected though! I could understand why he kept it to himself! Finn was again just a machine with a gun and I loved how protective he was of Ren! His feelings developed even further for Ren in this book too, which I loved! Finn was seriously good at hiding his feelings in this book though, but I really hope that he and Ren admit their feelings to each other! I loved that this book was written from both Ren and Finn's point of views like the first book was! It really helped me connect more with both characters and I enjoyed getting to read the plot through both characters eyes! I'm so excited that there's going to be a third book in this series! I wasn't sure if there was going to be, but I can't wait to read it! The ending of this book was just in-SANE as well! I need the next book now! I'll be on pins and needles until it releases! The cover for this book is just perfect for it! It suits the first cover perfectly and I just freaking love both the covers! They represent the book so well! I discovered this book when I was actually looking up another book from this author lol! I was really intrigued by the cover, so I clicked on it to read the synopsis and I knew I had to read it right away! I'll read any book with zombies in it lol! I wanted to read this book that much that I actually stopped reading my current read and read this book lol! It was definitely worth it because this book was amazing! I couldn't put it down and finished it in a couple of sittings! The plot was full of action and suspense and had me gripped! I didn't want to put it down! I loved everything about it and it was developed brilliantly! There were also some twist and turns in the plot that made me desperate to read on and find out what was going to happen next! As if I needed anymore reason to read on, right? Lol! The characters were amazing! Nurrin 'Ren' was the main female character and I loved her! She actually reacted differently to what I was expecting her to act like in this book! I thought she was going to be a really kick-ass character, but she was actually quite a vulnerable character and she was really unsure about the world she was having to face! I could completely understand all this! Nurrin did become more confident as this book progressed though and she wasn't the same person at the end as she was at the beginning! She grew a lot too and I hope she continues to grow in the next book! I'm excited to read more about her and see her develop more as a character! Finn was the main male character and he sort of sounded like he had a stick up his ass for most of this book! I mean, he was so freaking hot, but he had such a controlling manner about him! I could understand why he was like this though because of the kind of world he was now in! I did love Finn and I loved how protective he was of Nurrin! I could see that he had feelings for her and I hope those feelings develop in the next book! I'm pretty sure they will because they did have some pretty hot scenes in this book! Finn did do some things that really surprised me in this book, but in a strange way I could understand why he did them! He did them to protect the people he cared about and this actually made me love him that little bit more and also respect him a lot more! I wasn't expecting this book to be split into sections and for the first section to be written from Nurrin's point of view, the second section to be written from Finn's point of view, the third section to be Nurrin's point of view and then the last section to go back to Finn's point of view! It added so much to the book though and I loved that I got to learn more about Finn by being able to go inside his head! The ending of this book was such a cliff-hanger! I could maybe have guessed it, but I hoped it wasn't going to end like that! It was a really good ending though! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! I'm so excited to find out what's going to happen next and I'm kinda lucky that I don't have to wait too long for the next book! The cover for this book suits it perfectly! It's actually what drew me to the book to start with! I absolutely love it and it's perfect for the story!

   I play dumb. "What new girl?"

   "Shut up, asshole. You don't think I notice you watching her all the fucking time?"

   I lift my chin. "I think if there's an asshole in this entire school to watch out for, it's you."

   He laughs and adjusts his cap. "You don't need to worry about me. I'm not into stealing my friend's girls." He shoves his hand in his catcher's glove and smacks my arm with it. "Say the word. Claim her. I promise to stay away and I'll make sure she's untouchable to everyone else."

   "I'm not an asshole and she isn't property. I can't own her."

   "If that's what you want." He raises an eyebrow. "She's cute. In a couple years she'll be hot. Guys will be all over her. I'm just trying to help out."

   I think about what he's saying, and he makes a good point. Only he's wrong—she's hot now. "Fine. I claim her. She's mine."

   His smirk is instant. "You can't own someone, you pig. She isn't property."

   I laugh. "Fuck you."

   Jake struts over to us. "Ya reckon that new kid Dylan can hang out with us this arvo? He seems like a top bloke."

   Logan's gaze moves to me, confusion clear on his face.

   I shrug. He lets out a chuckle before gripping both of Jake's shoulders and shaking him gently. He looks him right in the eye, speaking slowly and clearly. "I have no idea what the fuck you just said."
