Synopsis: L.P. Dover’s tantalizing Second Chances series gets a change of scenery as the Carolina Cougars’ infamous bad boy heads to the West Coast. His best laid plans call for seduction—but a driven career woman has him begging for more.
Trying to live down his very public indiscretions, Carolina Cougars kicker Jaxon Reed feels like the most hated man in the NFL. When he’s traded away, his new teammates in California don’t waste any time making his life miserable. Unfortunately for them, Jaxon’s no easy target. As payback, he sets his sights on the quarterback’s sister: a sultry brunette who’s curvy, confident, and sexy as hell. But what begins as a revenge fling turns into so much more.
Bristol Thomas doesn’t have time for games, especially those played by her brother’s Neanderthal teammates. A talented interior designer with lofty goals, she doesn’t know the first thing about football, or Jaxon—except that he’s exactly the type of man she usually avoids. But when his deep laugh and deeper kisses break through her walls, she becomes the target of a fan who’s obsessed with Jaxon. Now she needs to know that Jaxon has her back . . . because he already has her heart.

I received an ARC of this book though Netgalley, but I hadn't read the book before this one as it hadn't released yet! I knew that this book could be read as a complete standalone, but I prefer to read a series in order if I can! I then received an ARC of the book before this one, Last Chance, so I was able to read it and then start on this one straight after it! I loved this book and it seemed to have a different feel to it compared to the other books in the series! I'm not sure why it felt like it had a different feel to it lol, but I enjoyed it and I loved who the main characters were! The plot was also amazing! It developed at the perfect pace and it held my interest all the way through! It was a tiny bit predictable at times, but there were also a few twist and turns in the plot that I wasn't expecting! There were also quite a few really, really hot scenes in the plot too, which I loved, and I was very happy that there was some action and suspense in the plot too! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Jaxon was the main male character, and Jaxon was in one of the other books in this series as a secondary character, so I was really happy that he got his own book! He did quite a few things wrong in the other book he was in, so I was really hoping that he was going to redeem himself in this book! I would say that Jaxon did redeem himself overall, but I did wish that he been more open and honest with his love interest right from the start! He hid things from her, which was wrong! Jaxon was really hot though and I loved the way he was with his love interest! He was very protective of her and it was easy to see the amount of love he had for her! Bristol was the main female character, and she was someone who was very work-orientated and she had a very good, demanding job that she was brilliant at and she loved! Bristol also knew how to have a good time and she seemed to let herself go more as this book progressed! I just loved Bristol! She was such a likable character and I connected very well with her! I also didn't lose that connection with her at all! Bristol was also a pretty kick-ass character and could take care of herself! She showed this several times in this book lol! I also loved that this book was written from both Jaxon and Bristol's point of views! I was hoping that it was going to be, so I'm really happy it was! It helped me connect more with both characters and it allowed for more things to happen in the plot! I'm also not sure if there's going to be more books in this series! There wasn't anything in the back of this book to indicate another book, but I really hope there are more books! I've loved every book in this series, so I would love to read more on the secondary characters that make appearances! I love the cover for this book! It think it's stunning and I loved it as soon as I saw it! The models are perfect for Jaxon and Bristol too! Big thank you to L.P Dover, Loveswept and Netgalley for an ARC of Intended for Bristol and to Love Affair With Fiction for having me on the Blog Tour!
