Review Blitz: Egomaniac by Vi Keeland!

Publication date: 16th January 2017
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
Synopsis: The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office.
I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills.
He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.

Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.
Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.

Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.
Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent.
I was swindled out of ten grand.

The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place.
I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind.
I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.

The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages.
The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing.
And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

I was very excited about reading this book, so I squealed when I received an ARC! I've read a few of this author's books and I especially love her co-written books with Penelope Ward, so I couldn't wait to read this book! It sounded exactly like my kind of read too! I started my ARC of this book as soon as I received it and I loved every second of reading it! The sexual tension between the two main characters leaked off the pages and the plot developed at the perfect pace and had me hooked from start to finish! There were also some seriously hot scenes in the plot too and they were really, really hot! There wasn't any action or suspense in the plot, which I normally love in the plot of any book, but the romance was definitely enough to keep me wanting to read on and find out what was going to happen next! There was a bit of a love triangle aspect too, which added a lot to the plot, and a few twist and turns as well! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Emerie was the main female character and I loved her! I also felt really sorry for her because she had such bad luck in this book lol! Emerie had her head on straight though and she tried her best to do what she could in the situation she was in! Emerie also went through a lot of realisation in this book when it came to her feelings for a certain someone! I don't want to say too much about that lol! I definitely think that Emerie did the right thing and did was what was best for her! Emerie was also a little vixen at certain points in this book and she became more confident as the plot developed! Drew was the main male character and love interest of Emerie! Drew was seriously hot and was a guy that worked hard and had made a name and business for himself! Drew had also been through a lot and had trust issues and issues with letting people in! I could completely understand why Drew was like this after hearing his story! He had been through a lot and had been betrayed by people that meant a lot to him! Drew came a long way in this book and he went through a lot of realisation and opened himself up a lot! I just loved Drew and I loved the way he was with Emerie too! It was easy to see his feelings develop for her and he was protective of her too! I loved that this book was written from both Emerie and Drew's point of views! I wasn't sure if it was going to be as the synopsis makes it sound like it's only going to be written from the main female character's point of view! I'm really happy it was co-written though because it helped me connect more with Emerie and Drew and understand them more! It also allowed for more things to happen in the plot too! I can completely understand why this book is a standalone! I really wish that it wasn't a standalone lol, but the ending was left at the perfect place and it was very beautiful! I cried lol! I also can't wait to see what this author is going to release next! The cover for this book is seriously hot! It really suits the book and the model is the perfect Drew! Big thank you to Vi and Inkslinger PR for an ARC of Egomaniac!
