Cover Reveal: Obtained by Shanora Williams!

Hey guys! I have here the brand new cover for Obtained by Shanora Williams! I am so exicted to read this book! Enjoy!

Here is the full wrap!

Jules Maddox isn’t just some familiar guy that sits at the corner table of the coffee shop to sketch in his sketchbook. No. He’s something much darker and mysterious than that and when Alexandria Marshall—a happy-go-lucky girl that can’t remember a thing about her past—speaks to him, she isn’t surprised to see Mr. Hot/Creep run off quickly without saying a word. That leaves Alexandria with no choice but to wonder what she’s done to make him react that way towards her. She feels as if she knows him but she can’t put her finger on it. And without being able to remember her past, she feels that she will probably never figure it out.

After being assaulted and attacked in an alley of New York, Alexandria figures out that Jules isn’t normal and has a reason to be secretive and mysterious. As Jules fights off her attacker, she witnesses his glowing eyes and fists. And it’s not until Jules is finished that he realizes what he has just done and once again, he runs away without a word.

Alexandria can’t keep Jules off of her mind but when Felix Wells, a rich architect, appears at her door step, everything begins to unravel and reveal itself. She falls for Felix on the first day and when Jules finds out, he isn’t pleased and instead of running off like he usually would, he decides to tell her everything that he knows and what they really are. What Alexandria doesn’t know is that she and Jules are mates and if the “Leaders” find out that she is being drawn in by more than one mate, their lives will be at stake. Jules didn’t want to risk telling her but he refuses to lose her to Felix who is much more dangerous than some rich architect.

But no matter how much Alexandria tries to forget about Felix and stick with Jules, Felix just comes back effortlessly to obtain her again. Because now she knows everything-- her mates know everything-- and if the Leaders find out, they will be sure that the lives of Alexandria and Jules cease to exist.

Review: Conjure [The Hoodoo Apprentice 01] by Lea Nolan!

Publication date: 16th October 2012
Paperback edition: 314 pages
Source: Kindle
Rating: 4 stars
Synopsis: Be careful what you search for...

Emma Guthrie expects this summer to be like any other in the South Carolina Lowcountry--hot and steamy with plenty of beach time alongside her best friend and secret crush, Cooper Beaumont, and Emma’s ever-present twin brother, Jack. But then a mysterious eighteenth-century message in a bottle surfaces, revealing a hidden pirate bounty. Lured by the adventure, the trio discovers the treasure and unwittingly unleashes an ancient Gullah curse that attacks Jack with the wicked flesh-eating Creep and promises to steal Cooper’s soul on his approaching sixteenth birthday.

When a strange girl appears, bent on revenge; demon dogs become a threat; and Jack turns into a walking skeleton; Emma has no choice but to learn hoodoo magic to undo the hex, all before summer—and her friends--are lost forever.

Favourite quote: "Watch your heart, Emma. Don't wade too deep into the fire. You don't want to get burned."

I was so lucky to receive an ARC of Conjure from Elana Johnson from Entangled Publishing! I was really looking forward to reading this book until I realised that the main character was 14 years old! I actually thought that this would put me off it a little bit and it did a bit but I tried to look past her age! Emma Guthrie was the main character and I really liked her! She acted so much older than 14 which surprised me and she faced her problems head on! Jack Guthrie was Emma's twin brother and I thought that he was a good character but he was pretty violent at times which put me off him at points in the book! Cooper Beaumont was the love interest of Emma and he was so cute and protective of her! The plot was quite unique and it wasn't really what I was expecting! The pace was pretty slow though and I did lose interest at some points! This wasn't really my sort of book but it was okay! I love the cover though! It is so pretty! Big thank you to Elana and Entangled Publishing for the ARC!

Review: The Story of Jackson Haddock by Shanora Williams!

Publication date: 14th November 2012
Paperback edition: 394 pages
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
Synopsis: What if your family was killed, right before your very eyes?

Life for Jackson Haddock already wasn’t easy but when a man named Cody Walker interrupts his life, things will only turn for the worst. Walker kills Jackson’s family right on the spot. Somehow Jackson escapes and after grieving from his loss, he finds out what Cody Walker is about, what he wanted, and why. After stumbling upon a letter from his father, Jackson promises to find Cody Walker and kill him for the vengeance of his family and his own safety. But as time carries, life gets better, and it isn’t until Belle Fulton comes into his life that he realizes that he can’t trust everyone—not her or even the people around him. The Story of Jackson Haddock is filled with deception, passion, hurt, broken hearts, and even romance. He encounters a handful of problems at such a young age that he isn’t sure whether he’ll even be able to see the next day because his life will only remain at stake the longer that Walker is alive. But Jackson is a boy that doesn't like to lose, doesn't like to fail, and doesn't like to give up.

Favourite quote: "Nothing else mattered but our holds, our shattered hearts that were still mending. Our love."

I really enjoyed this book! I think that it is one of the first times that I actually had a scene in my head all the way through the book of the scenery and the backgrounds! The plot was so action packed! I cannot fault Shanora at all for writing an action scene after reading this book! I normally don't like books told completely from a male perspective but this book is definitely an exception! I felt that the story was told better from a male point of view! The main character is obviously Jackson Haddock and I really liked him! He was sweet and protective of everyone that he knew! I also felt so sorry for him! Belle Fulton was the love interest of Jackson and I thought that she was very cute and strong! I didn't like how she sort of played Jackson at the start though! The secondary characters were very well written as well and they brought so much to the story! The cover is also very hot! Big thank you to Shanora for an ARC of The Story of Jackson Haddock!

*Lauren is a spin-off from Keegan's Chronicles

I absolutely loved this book! I wasn't really expecting to be able to follow it because it is a spin -off to the Keegan's Chronicles which I haven't read so I was expecting to be confused while reading Lauren but I can honestly say that you do not have to have read the Keegan's Chronicles to read Lauren! I loved the plot as it was interesting and it had me hooked! I gasped like a million times at the last half of the book! Lauren was of course the main character and I loved her! She was so easy to connect with and she was so nice! Tristan was so possessive! I really despised him! I hated what he did to Lauren and I really wanted to hit him! I really liked the other character and I loved that characters from the Keegan's Chronicles were also in Lauren! The cover is so pretty and it really suits the story! Big thank you to Allison and of course Julia for an ARC of Lauren!

Hey guys! I am so lucky to be one of the blog that is revealing the cover to Wicked Fate by Tabatha Vargo! I am in love with the cover and I cannot wait to read the book!

What if you lived in fear of yourself?

For Mage McPherson being afraid of herself is just the norm. Thanks to that fear, being a loner in a small town never bothered the mysterious Mage. Once she received her secret abilities, she figured being alone was the safest way to be. That all changes during her sophomore year at Summerville High when Adam, her equally mysterious secret crush, starts to notice her.

Afraid that she might harm Adam, Mage must learn to either control or deny herself. With Adam by her side she's more powerful than she’s ever been, but is she powerful enough to defeat her worst nightmare? She learns a hard lesson about love and magic when her destiny comes to collect.

 Author bio:

Tabatha has been writing since she could pick up a pencil. Her first publication was a little poem in her elementary school paper, from that point on she was hooked. When she was a teenager, she traded in her girly magazines for personalized writing notebooks.

At nineteen, she met her own personal prince charming and writing took a back burner for a while. She is now married to that prince and the mother of a beautiful Six year old princess/rock star. Once her daughter was born, writing came back into her life, and she finished her very first novel in May of 2009.

She is pursuing a Bachelors in English and hopes to one day teach while continuing to write.

As a stay-at-home mom and full-time student, Tabatha enjoys the freedom of spending a good bit of her days doing what she loves the most…writing.
