Synopsis: Sometimes all you need is Patience.
Life’s been hard for Zeke. Being a punching bag for his alcoholic father has turned him into stone. Not even the dodgy trailer park he lives in can scare him. Fighting is his release and sex, drugs, and his guitar bring him peace, but deep down Zeke isn’t quite as hard as he makes himself out to be. When he meets Patience, she finds all his broken pieces and puts him back together, but she’s a ray of light in his shadowed life and the last thing he wants to do is bring her into his dark world. Playing careless is easy, playing the bad guy can be fun, but playing Patience is impossible, especially when she can see right through him.
Zeke isn’t the only one who’s broken, and for the first time, in a long time, Patience feels alive. Her black and white world gets a shot of color when she meets Zeke. He’s unlike anyone she’s ever met with his tattoos, piercings, and blunt honesty. She wants nothing more than to let go and ride the wild side with him, but some wounds never heal and the broken pieces of Patience aren’t so easy to find.
Favourite quote: "You will never know the depths of me, so don't even try to explore that far. You'll get lost and you won't survive me. Don't pretend to understand my feelings and emotions. Half the time I don't have any anyway, but when it comes to you, they're limitless, which is more dangerous. I don't look at you like you're nothing. I look at you like you're everything, because you are, and I fucking hate it."
I was thrilled when Tabatha asked me if I would like an ARC of Playing Patience and also asked if I would like to be on the Blog Tour! I have been really looking forward to reading Tabatha's books and Playing Patience was my first book by her although I have her other books on my Kindle! This book was a beautiful disaster! It is exactly how I would describe it to someone if they asked me! I knew that I was going to fall in love with the characters, the plot and just everything about it before I even started reading! The plot was beyond amazing! It was really dark but it was about two characters both going through horrible situations at home! Both of these characters help each other so much more then they know! This book really hit me hard! I found it a bit difficult to read at times but it was written beautifully and I loved that Tabatha didn't hold back and that she made the situations like what some people go through everyday! I also loved that the plot had quite a few twists in it that I wasn't expecting so I was pretty surprised! I think that my mouth may have dropped open at some points! The characters blew my mind! They were all written amazingly! Zeke and Patience were both the main characters and Playing Patience was written from both of their point of views! This was definitely essential as both of these characters were going through difficult situations which the reader really needed to know more about and by this book being in dual point of view then I was able to connect more emotionally with both characters! Going into Zeke's head was quite an experience! I adored him as a character! He went through a lot at home and he was still determined to protect Patience and to never let his father get the better of him! I felt so sorry for Zeke for what he did get put through nearly everyday as it must have been so hard for him! My heart went out to Patience the whole way through this book! Nobody should ever have to go through what she did! I was disgusted by the person who took away her confidence, her freedom and her right to love but I loved Zeke for bringing all these things back to her! I saw Patience start to feel comfortable in her own skin again and her confidence started to come back as the book progressed! The rest of the characters were also all written amazingly! I wasn't really excepting the ending to this book! I was pleasantly surprised by it as I though that I knew where the book was going to go but Tabatha took it in a bit of a different direction! The cover is so hot! I wasn't really expecting the book to be so hot but I am so glad it was and it showed me how much the cover suits the book! Big thank you to Tabatha for an ARC of Playing Patience and also for having me on the Blog Tour!

Author bio:
Tabatha's been writing since she could pick up a pencil. Her first publication was a little poem in her elementary school paper, from that point on she was hooked. When she was a teenager, she traded in her girly magazines for personalized writing notebooks.
At nineteen, she met her own personal prince charming and writing took a back burner for a while. She's now married to that prince and the mother of a beautiful seven-year-old princess/rock star. Once her daughter was born, writing came back into her life, and she finished her very first novel, Wicked Fate, in May of 2009.
She's now pursuing her English degree and she hopes to one day teach while continuing to write.
