I loved him.
For over twenty years.
And everyone knew, including him.

But he never loved me back.
Not once.
Not ever.

So I moved on.

Until now.
Now he's back, and wants to make me his.

He's everything I've ever wanted.

I should be happy.
But there's one problem.
My fiancé.

I've read a few of this author's books and I loved them when I did, so I couldn't wait to read more from her! This book didn't have a cover when I signed up to review it as part of the Release Day Blitz, but the synopsis was definitely enough to make me want to read it! I'm so happy I signed up to review this book because I loved it! It did take me a few chapters to get into it, but I loved it once I did! The plot was also amazing! It did take a while to get going and for us to find out all the secrets and stuff, but there was a lot of chemistry and hot scenes between the two main characters! There were also a few twist and turns too, and there was a big one near the end that I didn't expect! It did add a lot to the plot and it taught the characters to live in the moment! Overall, I really enjoyed the plot and it only took me a few sittings to read! The characters were also amazing and I connected really well with them! Kacey was the main female character, and she agreed to marry a guy that she only loved as a friend! Kacey did this to help her friend and I could understand why she did it! She didn't love him though and she had always had a massive crush on her best friend's brother! She didn't tell him though because she was embarrassed by it and she thought that he wouldn't want a relationship with her! Kacey also had some tough decisions to make in this book, and this made her feel like she was being pulled in two different directions! She made the right decision though! Well, I thought she did lol! Jake was the main male character, and he was really hot and definitely book boyfriend material! Jake also had a lot of pressure on his shoulders in this book and this made me feel really sorry for him! He worked very hard to pay off things that he had to and to provide for his sister! Jake also had some insane amount of love for Kacey, and it was easy to see this as the book progressed! He was also protective of Kacey and he didn't pressure her and he let their relationship progress at her pace! This made me have a lot of respect for Jake and love him even more! There was also a love triangle in this book that played a big part! It didn't really feel like a love triangle to me though because Kacey only loved one of the guys! I also loved that this book was written from both Kacey and Jake's point of views! I thought that it was only going to be written from one point of view after I read the synopsis, but I'm really happy it was written from dual point of view! It helped me connect with the characters more and allowed for more to happen in the plot! I also thought that this book was a standalone when I first heard about it, but it's actually the first book in a series! I'm really happy it's the start of a series and I can't wait to read the next book! The cover for this book is stunning! I loved it as soon as saw it and it suits the book perfectly! The models on the front are also perfect too! Big thank you to Carey and Southern Belle Promotions for an ARC of Why Now?
