Synopsis: Is it possible to find your soul mate on the other side of the world?
Beth Johnson is an ambitious high school senior from suburban California with a secret passion for writing. David Somers is a charming young Englishman who wants nothing more than to play guitar in his up-and-coming rock band. Though worlds apart, when fate brings Beth and David together in London in the summer of 1979, sparks fly. After Beth receives upsetting news from home, she finds herself drawn to David’s warm character, and an all-consuming love develops. Theirs is the kind of love one never forgets, and as Beth’s stay in London nears the end, the young devoted couple must face the inevitable question: will their romance fade with the passing of summer or will they realize their promise of never letting go?
This is the first installment of a four-book series, Faithfully Yours, chronicling Beth and David's romantic journey.
I was really excited about this book when the author contacted me to make a Book Trailer for it! She then offered me an ARC of it and I instantly said yes! I saw Blog Tour sign-up's and quickly signed up too! I couldn't wait to read this book! I mean, the cover just made me desperate to read the story behind it! I really enjoyed this book! It took me a few chapters to get into it, but once I did, I couldn't get through it fast enough! I read it in a few sittings too! The plot was written very well and it developed at a good pace to keep me wanting to read on! I would have liked something more to have happened in it though! It just sort of stayed on the same wavelength and nothing happened in it that made me desperate to see how things were going to progress! I'm sure more things will happen in the other books in the series though! The plot was also really beautiful and there were a few hot scenes too! I can say that I wasn't expecting the hot scenes lol! I also loved that this book was set in 1979! I don't think I've actually read a book set in 1979 before lol! I loved that it took place in the US and the UK too! It was fun to see the differences between the two countries, especially considering I live in the UK! The characters were awesome! Beth was the main character and I wasn't sure if I was going to like her as much as I did at the start of this book! She came off a bit winey, but she quickly got over that, and after she did, I really liked her! I wish Beth had properly broken up with her boyfriend before starting something with her love interest though! My opinion of her ex-boyfriend did change several times during this book too! Beth was such a normal person though and she was likable! I started to like her more as the book progressed and I'm sure I'll love her even more as this series progresses! She also came a long way in this book! David was the love interest of Beth and he was such a sweet guy! I adored him! He always knew the right thing to say and the right thing to do in situations and with Beth! He was also really protective of Beth when they were together, and even when they were on different continents lol! David was also determined to get somewhere with his band, and I really admired his determination! He also gave off a hot vibe and there was something about him that just made me smile whenever he was in the scene and he was interacting with Beth! His relationship with Beth was just so cute! I could see that they really loved each other! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it's going to continue Beth and David's story, and I can't wait to see where their relationship is going to go next! The ending of this book was also left at the perfect place! The cover for this book is enough to make me want to read it, even before I was offered an ARC lol! It's absolutely stunning and actually represents a certain scene in the book beautifully! Big thank you to Anne for an ARC of Never Let Go and to Enticing Journey Book Promotions for having me on the Blog Tour!
