Blog Tour: Touching Eternity by Airicka Pheonix!

Hey guys! So I am very excited to be a part of Airicka Pheonix's Blog Tour for Touching Eternity! I have here an interview which I have done with Airicka and can I just say that she is amazing! Hope you enjoy!

Is there anything you'd love to tell us about yourself?

I am a certified joker! I love nothing more than to make people laugh. I buy books like it’s going out of fashion and strongly believe you can never have enough books. I love hot chocolate, winter or summer. I have a strong dislike for rude or arrogant people.

I absolutely loved the first book, Touching Smoke from the Touch Series! Are you surprised by the response you have had for it?

I think no matter who you are or how long you’ve been publishing for, you’re always going to be surprised by good responses. I think we as authors spend so much time and effort telling ourselves it sucks or that it won’t do well or that no one will like it that when people do like it, we’re surprised and honoured and so elated.

For the readers out there that haven't read your series could you tell us a quick bit about it please?

The Touch Series as a whole is about the thin line that separates us from complete annihilation as a species. It is about what happens when we, as humans, push the limits of science too far, when we try too hard to advance ourselves when we’re not ready and may never be ready.

Touching Eternity is about Amalie. Those who have read Touching Smoke will recognize her immediately for the enormous part she plays in Fallon’s creation and the entire Touch Series. She is the crack in the glass that splinters into something enormous and unstoppable. In Touching Eternity, we meet Amalie. We get to see first-hand the torture and abuse she had to succumb to daily. We get to learn how she became the face of something so much larger and stronger than herself.

Do you have a Favorite Quote from the series so far?

Oh I have so many…

 Touching Eternity:

His finger ghosted her lips. “There is no one that can make me look into their eyes and see the rest of my life. Only you.”

 Touching Smoke:

"Your smell,” he murmured, leaving a hot trail down the curve of my neck with his lips. “Your taste. Your feel. You!” He growled in the back of his throat. The sound liquefied my kneecaps. His arms were instantly around me, holding me up, crushing me between him and the door. “I was thinking about you before you came in,” he kissed the hollow of my throat as if I wasn’t already a meat bag of melted bones. I felt the brush of his lips all the way down to my toes. “I was thinking about how much I missed you.

How did you come up with the idea to write The Touch Series?

I was inspired to write The Touch Series after working on another series which will be out spring 2013. In the Hunter Series, Clara is battling a demon when she catches a wisp of movement from the corner of her eye. That’s how Amalie was born.

Who designed your covers?

I design my own covers.

Do you have any other books in the works?

After Touching Eternity, I have a short, fun contemporary romance coming out in time for Valenties Day called The Wrong Kind of Love. Followed by the first book to The Hunter series. Then Touching Fire right after. I also have several short stories coming out in between those.  You can keep a closer eye on releases on my Facebook or website http://airickaphoenix.com/Author/?cat=10

Could you maybe give us a teeny tiny teaser from Touching Eternity to tide us over until December please?

“I don’t know how to dance!” she said, wincing sheepishly when she stepped on his glossy black shoes.

His arms tightened around her when she tried to pull away. “Then just let me hold you.”
That she could do. Leaning up on her tiptoes, she wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned into him. She closed her eyes and nuzzled her face into the curve of his neck.
“You’re home,” he whispered into her temple. “No matter what happens, you will always be home. I love you, Ams.”

Do you have any advice for aspiring writer/authors?

People will always tell you no. It’s not your job to prove them wrong. It’s your job to prove yourself right.

Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans/readers?

I love you guys. From the very bottom core of my heart, I love each one of you. Thank you for being my inspiration!

What would you choose?

She had everything but freedom.
He had nothing but his loyalty, his wits and his training.

She was a prisoner, a disease, not fit for the world, and she didn't know why. But she did know she wasn't allowed to die, she wasn't allowed to live and she wasn’t sane.

He was a soldier, a protector, but his foundation will be tested when he must destroy the only light in his dark world.

Thrown together, prisoner and keeper, their rebellion will splinter through time, changing the course of history and the fate of the world. Their love will challenge their greatest enemy and immortalize them forever.

Loyalty. Freedom. Love.

What would you risk?

"Let me die."
Pain darkened his eyes. "Never."

Author Bio:

Airicka Phoenix is the author of TOUCHING SMOKE (Touch Book #1), TOUCHING ETERNITY (Touch 1.5), TORRID, a short story as part of the Whispered Beginnings: A Clever Fiction Anthology and WANTING & INTENTIONS, two stories as part of the Midnight Surrender Anthology. When she's not hammering away at the keyboard, she can be found banishing pirates or crawling through the attic looking for lost treasure with her kids. She loves baking, gardening and reading. She also likes to travel and take pictures of everything she comes across. When asked, Airicka describes herself as a sarcastic basket case that has an unhealthy addiction to chocolate, old movies and really bad jokes. She loves to laugh, make friends and write. If she could have one wish granted, it would be to spend one day as a fly-on-the-wall inside Stephen King's mind. If she could have two wishes granted, she would ask for a castle dedicated entirely to her overwhelming collection of books.
