Review: The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden [The Coincidence 01] by Jessica Sorensen!

Publication date: 14th December 2012
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
Synopsis: There are those who don’t get luck handed to them on a shiny platter, who end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, who don’t get saved.

Luck was not on Callie’s side the day of her twelfth birthday when everything was stolen from her. After it’s all over, she locks up her feelings and vows never to tell anyone what happened. Six years later her painful past consumes her life and most days it’s a struggle just to breathe.

For as long as Kayden can remember, suffering in silence was the only way to survive life. As long as he did what he was told, everything was okay. One night, after making a terrible mistake, it seems like his life might be over. Luck was on his side, though, when Callie coincidentally is in the right place at the right time and saves him.

Now he can’t stop thinking about the girl he saw at school, but never really knew. When he ends up at the same college as Callie, he does everything he can to try to get to know her. But Callie is reserved and closed off. The more he tries to be part of her life, the more he realizes Callie might need to be saved.

Could this book have gotten any better? Definitely not! After reading Jessica's first contemporary book, The Secret of Ella and Micha and loving it I couldn't wait to get my hands on her second contemporary, The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden! I was instantly hooked as soon as I started reading this book! Like all of Jessica's books I couldn't put it down until I had read the last word on the last page! The plot was so sad so make sure that you have tissues handy! I went into this book not expecting what happened in the plot at all! My eyes watered, I smiled at happy scenes and then I got really mad at some scenes! My emotions were all over the place! Callie Lawrence was the main female character and I loved her! She was just so brave and I felt so sorry for her for what she had been through! Kayden Owens was the main male character and he was seriously hot! He had such a rough time in this book and I really wanted to hit his dad! My heart went out to both Callie and Kayden during this book and they were both so broken but together they helped mend each other! I also loved that the point of views switched between Callie and Kayden! The ending was huge and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series! The cover represents a particular scene in the book and it is perfect! Big thank you to Jessica for providing me with an ARC of The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden!
