What if you discover the man you want is toxic?

She tasted a little bit of heaven with him, and now they’ve gone through hell and back, but can their relationship take anymore?

Valerie Quinn is a naïve college freshman when she meets on-the-rise rock star Ethan Richards. He’s an idealistic, handsome, reckless young man, but he’s captured her heart. She doesn’t give up on him and eventually his walls crumble down. By the time Valerie has given herself to him completely, she discovers he’s damaged and may be beyond help. Can she
save Ethan and their relationship before he implodes, or will he self-destruct and take her with him?

I actually really enjoyed this book! I wasn't really sure about it when I signed up to be on the Blog Tour but when I started reading it I started really enjoying it! Bullet starts pretty slow which did annoy me as I was expecting it to get to a stage where it sped up a bit but that stage was further on than I would have liked! This is why I had to knock it down a star! The plot was great though! I really enjoyed that it switched from past to present and it was sort of written like the main character was telling us the story of her time in college and her finding love! I enjoyed that the plot was about a band trying to make it big and having to live with the consequences of this! Some of the consequences turned out to be good but others bad! The characters were great! Valerie 'Val' was the main character and to be honest I liked her and then I disliked her and then I liked her again and this is what continued to happen all the way through this book! I loved her at the start and then she started kissing and having sex with all these other guys while I was rooting for her and Ethan so her sleeping with other guys really annoyed me! Ethan was who I would say was the main love interest of Val! He did have so many problems with his drug taking and drinking a lot but I think that Val made a bit of an impact on him which made him stop taking drugs and drinking and then he hit rock bottom! I really hated him when he went about sleeping with other girls as well! What annoyed me about Ethan and Valerie was that there was so much sexual tension between the two of them at the start of this book and it actually took them a while to act on that tension and then their relationship was like a yo-yo! There was a love triangle that didn't really develop in this book but it was there in the background and at times it made an appearance! The love triangle was between Val, Ethan and Brad! I rooted for Ethan for most of this book until his drink and drug habit really hit an all time low and then I felt sorry for him! I wasn't really expecting the ending! I really don't want to spoil  it for anyone who is going to read this book but all I will say is that it really surprised me! I can completely understand why this book is a standalone as it was fully resolved and the ending was perfect! The cover really suits the book and it is hot! Big thank you to Jade for a copy of Bullet and to Shh Moms Reading for having me on the Blog Tour!

Author bio:

Jade C. Jamison was born and raised in Colorado, moved from one city/town to the next, and she’s decided she likes it so much she wants to stay…although travel is not out of the question. She lives in a big town in Colorado (not unlike Winchester!) with her husband and four children. She is working on becoming a crazy cat lady. Okay, so maybe not.

Still want more? Jade has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Theater, a master’s degree in English, and a master of fine arts in Creative Writing. Obviously, she loves school and the student loan folks love her. She works in human services by day, teaches English and creative writing at night, and—in between playing soccer mom and community leader—writes like a fiend. Someday soon, she’ll narrow it down to just writing, but let’s get all those kids off to college first.
