Blog Tour: Promised by Michelle Turner!

Publication date: 1st June 2013
Paperback edition: -
Source: Kindle
Rating: 5 stars
Synopsis: Linc knows Wyn is the girl for him.

Wyn knows Linc is the boy for her.

But she’s promised to another.

Lincoln “Linc” Tatman had been at his new school for months and he thought he’d met all the girls it had to offer. Until one day, he spied Wyn sitting against a tree and realized this new place had been hiding the girl of his dreams. He goes out of his way to get to know her, even though he’s warned that it’s a hopeless case. But he’s determined to win her, even if she can only be his for a short time.

Arwyn “Wyn” Scott is the black sheep of her big gypsy family. When most of the girls her age are dropping out to start their own families, she begs her parents to stay. She doesn’t fit in with the gypsy teens and the regular teens are too afraid of her five older brothers to get close. Then Linc comes into her life, showing her a new life she never thought she could have. She can’t stop herself from falling head first for the boy.

Can Wyn leave behind her family and their traditions to follow her heart, or will she become a young gypsy wife?

Favourite quote: "I can't give you forever, but I can give you now."

This book was amazing! I wasn't going to do a review for the Blog Tour, but after I read an excerpt that was posted along with the Release Day Blitz I quickly signed up for a review! I fell completely in love with this book! What I loved about it was the forbidden romance aspect of it! There were these two characters that had so much love for each other and they couldn't be together because of a huge obstacle that stood in the way! The plot of this book was so beautiful! I couldn't stop reading it! It sounds quite simple, but there is so much at stake in it! I laughed, smiled and even had a little cry during it! The plot focused on a gypsy family which I have never read another book about, but I have watched TV shows about gypsies so I was intrigued to read about them in a book! I thought that the gypsy aspect was written amazingly! I really enjoyed it! The characters were also amazing! Wyn and Linc were both the main characters and they were both so amazing! Wyn surprised me in this book! I didn't think that I was going to like her as much as I did, but I soon found her completely adorable! I could see how much she didn't really like being a gypsy and how much she wanted to make her own choices with her life, but being a gypsy took those choices away from her! Linc was the guy to come along and make Wyn have to make a big decision! I loved Linc! I loved that I could see the feelings that he had for Wyn were completely genuine! I could also see that he would do anything for her! Linc and Wyn as a couple were so beautiful! Their relationship did go a bit quick, but it was so genuine that I was able to overlook it! The secondary characters all added so much to the story of this book! They all played such important roles and they were all amazing! The ending of this book sums it up completely! I didn't cry at all during this book until the epilogue which I was pretty pleased about as I normally cry the whole way through a book! I can completely understand why this book is a standalone as the ending was absolutely perfect, but I'm also super excited that there are going to be spin off books for some of the other characters in Promised! I can't wait to read them! The cover is also stunning! It suits the book perfectly! Big thank you to Michelle for a copy of Promised and to Amber for having me on the Blog Tour!
