Synopsis: For nineteen-year-old Ember, life has always been about death. With a simple touch, she can see when someone will die. It’s her curse and the reason she secludes herself from the world. The only person that knows her secret is her best friend Raven.

But that changes when she meets Asher Morgan. He’s gorgeous and mysterious and is the only person Ember can't sense death from. The silence he instills in her mind and body allows her to feel things she’s never been able to before, so despite her initial reservations, Ember lets Asher into her life and lets herself to get close to him. But the closer they get, the more Ember realizes that Asher is keeping secrets from her.

When unexplained deaths begin to surface in her town, Ember questions why she can’t see Asher's death and what it is he’s hiding from her.

I remember originally reading an ARC of the Young Adult version of this book and finding it a bit confusing but still loving it, so I was quite excited when I heard that Jessica was bringing out a New Adult version of Ember! I felt better re-reading this book as I didn't really enjoy it as much as I could have done the first time round! Re-reading this book made me love it even more! The plot was the exact same as the Young Adult version only with some sexy scenes added! The sexy scenes were off the hook! They were so hot and they added something to the book that was missing from the Young Adult version! I also found that they made the book even better! I loved the extra scenes that were added as well! They made me enjoy the book more and be able to understand it better! The plot still focused on Ember as she was learning about her abilities and about her finding out who she could trust with her secrets and to help her with her abilities! I really enjoyed the plot! It was slightly confusing at times, but I don't normally read books were death and the Grim Reaper play a part so I think that might have been why I was confused with some of the plot! The characters were still amazing! Ember was obviously still the main character and I felt like I connected with her more in this book than what I did the Young Adult version! I thought that I was able to understand her more and also her abilities! Ember was sexier in this book! I felt like she had more confidence in herself, but she was still slightly shy at the same time and I adored her with Asher! Asher was just as hot as he was in the Young Adult version! I couldn't get enough of him! I loved how protective he was of Ember and what he did for Raven! Cameron in this book was sort of creepy lol! I think I actually said that he was a little creepy in my review for the Young Adult version, but I guess some things never change lol! I liked that his character was still the same and that he was still hot! Just not as hot as Asher! The love triangle aspect was still in this book between Ember, Asher and Cameron and with the sexy twists added it made it even hotter! I knew that I was going to continue reading this series after reading the Young Adult version and I know that the second book isn't out yet for the Young Adult series so I am definitely looking forward to reading both versions! I hope Jessica continues to write both series' or just continues one of them as I am really enjoying this series! The cover is stunning! It suits the book so much and it fits the Young Adult cover as well! Big thank you to Shh Mom's Reading for having me on the Blog Tour!
